I LOVE this cover… let’s all just
sit here and appreciate the gorgeousness that is this cover… sigh! I’ll be
honest, and I’ve said this before. I don’t like, generally, covers with just some
“hot” guy standing there with abs that may or may not be real. I’m just not
into it. Yeah, they look nice but, eh, it’s what everyone does so how is that
special? However, this cover just oozes with southern charm and you get that
feel, that vibe immediately when you look at this book. I think I’m going to
have to have the paperback on my shelf… that is how much I adore the outside
AND the words inside.
Celia Aaron gave us a slower burn
in the romance section on the book. However, the mystery and intrigue in this
story was continuously rolling and it pulled me in. I instantly fell for the
uptight Benton. Arabella was fantastic and closed off and slightly aloof as
well. I loved them slowly falling for each other. This book doesn’t have as
much heat as most of the previous ones have; we’re way over 50% in by the time
we get any dirty deeds happening. That didn’t matter to me. I don’t need the
sex scenes at all. This story was perfection! She wove an amazing, mysterious
tale that gets you sucked in not matter what! I’m completely tickled that she
writes fantastically, creepy thriller/suspense books… this was an above par
whodunit type book! I’m eagerly awaiting more from Celia Aaron!
I received an ARC of this book with the hope
that I will leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review,
positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.
