Woah... this is the first book of poems I’ve read by JR Rogue.
Even though I’ve read several of her novels and know the beauty that is her
writing... I still wasn’t prepared for the raw and breathless heart that this
collection of Breakup Poems left me with. It truly astounds me how JR Rogue can
take 26 letters and manipulate them into various words and streams of thoughts
and will leave me feeling wrecked... gutted... lost. She’s a true word master.
I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an
Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise,
and my opinions are just that... my opinions.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
J.R. Rogue first put pen
to paper at the age of fifteen after developing an unrequited high
school crush (you can read about that in her newest novel, I Like You, I Love Her) & has never stopped writing about heartache.
She has published multiple volumes of poetry and four novels.
Two of her poetry collections, La Douleur Exquise & Exits, Desires, & Slow Fires, have been Goodreads Choice Awards Nominees.
