I fell in love with my best friend but he didn't love me
back.
back.
Sounds like a cheesy line from a country song, right? Too
bad it's the story of my life.
bad it's the story of my life.
I thought that I’d moved on, swore he was the one.
But that facade began to fade in the flash of a half-carat
diamond ring.
diamond ring.
Now years later, here I am, running back to the boy who broke my adolescent heart, hoping that just maybe, he’ll be the one to piece it back together.
....
I fell in love with my best friend while she fell in love with him.
I fell in love with my best friend while she fell in love with him.
Ironically, it was my own damn fault. I practically served her up on a silver platter.
So I turned to my second love, basketball, moving across the country to escape.
For years, I’ve been sitting on the sidelines watching,
waiting.
Now it's time to make my move.
No more fouling out.
This time, I'm going to score.

Heather
M. Orgeron is one of my favorite authors. The books she produces have all been
top-notch! I don’t know if I’m more in awe of her words or her ability to write
completely different genres with grace and a lovely flow that makes you think
this is her main genre… really its impressive! I loved this friends to lovers
book. There’s something so amazing about two friends falling in love after years
or decades of friendship. It’s even sweeter to see then grow up together. You
have this real significant bond after so much time as friends. It’s hard to
break that connection and try to forge a new one. I can’t even imagine the fear
and terror one would face after realizing they are in love with their best
friend!
Orgeron
created a fantastic story that took us through the trials and tribulations of
having a deep friendship and it turning into more. She created these characters…
Allie and Colt that was so fun and humorous! Just like the author, this book
was so conflicting… it pulled your heart, like it was aching for them but I
also found myself laughing at their total sweetness and their humor, but I also
wanted to throttle them a bit! How can she do that with just one book? Talent,
yup! I’m gonna keep stalking this author!
Orgeron
pulls out all the stops in Breakaway! I really didn’t think it was going to be
as funny as it was… it is NOT Boomerangers, just so you know, but I did find
myself laughing out loud quite regularly. I also found that it was filled with
drama and heart breaking angst! Breakaway shows you how one event can change
your life when it’s on one certain path just to change. I love the story about
growing and learning to trust in yourself and believe in your own feelings! Ugh…
Orgeron did an amazing job on characters and making you feel for them!
I received an ARC of this book with the
hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a
review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.
