I fell in love with KL Kreig’s writing during The Black Swan Affair so I was completely thrilled to see she was coming out with a new book… a duet. I can tell you that I am DYING to get the next book which I believe I will have to wait till May for… MAY! May seems so very far away! I bet come May I’m going to reread this book in preparation of book 2. It’s just so good! I love Kreig’s writing.

I completely adore these characters. Willow is just amazing! Shaw is wonderfully flawed! These are two completely different people with completely different lives showing that love can make anything work. It doesn’t matter where you come from, all that matters is what is inside you.

Willow is my favorite type of heroine in a book. She’s been beat down and endured so much pain in her life but this chick comes out swinging. Nothing is going to hold her down!! I loved her sassiness and just how funny and sweet she could be. It was a great mix of features for a person… you can be totally awesome without being a bitch… Willow totally proves that! She owns that shit!

Shaw was exactly what Willow needed. She needed that bulldozer of a man. That man would be just what her sweet and funny side needed but he could handle her sassiness. I’m not even sure how to describe his character as you’ll love him so much while you’re strangling him!! But alas, he is a man, and Kreig obviously wrote his character perfectly!!

I loved this book! It was such a quick and smooth read. You’ll all of a sudden be finished with this book and wondering how it’s over so quickly. You just get sucked into this world that Kreig set up for us. She did it beautifully to pull out those emotions… I cried and laughed. I loved every friggin word!!
