Seven years.
Seven damn years of wondering whether the woman was still alive...whether she'd spent the last two thousand five hundred fifty-five days wondering if he was still alive.
Wondering whether that night was as burned into her memory as it was his.
Seven years having his heart tethered to Addison―and now she's back. With even more reasons to run than she'd had then.
Only this time, Caine isn't letting the gorgeous little flight risk out of his sight.
Regardless of how noble her reasons may be.
“Violet Duke is my go-to read when I just want to immerse myself in a captivating romance.” – NYT bestselling author J.S. Cooper
EVERY NIGHT WITHOUT YOU (Bk 2 of 2) takes place seven years after BEFORE THAT NIGHT (Bk 1 of 2), and is the conclusion of Caine & Addison's story of love, sacrifice, and the lengths one will run―and chase―when their past threatens their future.

“Go inside, Addison. Right now. While I’m still able to let you.”
Every cell in her body rebelled against the command.
“Please, honey. Don’t do that. Don’t flash that look at me. That stubborn rebel-in-stilettos sass will have you under me in your bed in two seconds flat.”
He groaned at whatever her eyes were telling him next.
To be fair, he started it with that panty-melting threat.
“Baby, you’re killing me.”
Right back at you.
He pushed open the door the rest of the way for her, one hand holding the top of the frame as if physically stopping himself from doing anything else.
For a while, the internal battles they each faced with themselves kept them both cemented where they stood.
But eventually, the growing torment and tension racking his entire frame made her back up a single step and clear the doorway.
“Lock the deadbolt.”
These overprotective demands just shouldn’t be this sexy.
She shut the door and laid her palm against it.
Knowing he was still out there, she confessed quietly to the wooden barricade between them, “That memory stayed with me, too. Even now, the only way I’m able to eventually fall asleep is to imagine your arms around me. Holding me. Keeping me safe.”
Loving me.

It was a full minute before she finally heard his heavy tactical boots walk away.

This was my first book by Violet Duke. It was a super
quick read… I thought it was due to the fact that I couldn’t stop reading it
but, no, it’s 200 pages. I enjoyed her writing and loved her characters and
their development. Most of all, I loved that this isn’t an “Insta Love” book.
There was such a nice gradual pace to it.
Addison was amazing. She’s
clever and amazingly, strong. I felt for her. She had an addict for a mom that
just ditched me. So Addison stepped up to take on all her mom’s
responsibilities… her two siblings. Addison did the best she could do as a
young (surrogate) mom. She struggled to save money for an apartment so they
wouldn’t have to live in the van forever. I was just impressed by her as a
person. Her strong will and courage was remarkable.
Of course, the leading man
had to be a total catch to earn Addison’s love. I thought Caine was a perfect
match. He was so thoughtful and sweet. He gave her the stability she so needed
in her life. He didn’t pressure but accepted her secrets when she opened up. He
wouldn’t give up on her or them. I just loved how she wiggled right in.
This was such a great book! I’m so glad I waited for
the second book before starting or I would have driven myself bonkers!!

Author Bio
New York Times & USA Today bestselling author Violet Duke is a former English Ed professor ecstatic to now be on the other side of the page writing emotion-rich stories with fun, everyday characters and sweet, sexy match-ups. Since her acclaimed debut series in 2013, over a million readers have put Violet's “laugh & cry” contemporary romances on the USA Today bestseller list sixteen times, the NYT bestseller list three times, and the Top 10 charts across the major eretailers both in the U.S. and internationally.
When she doesn't have her nose in a book, Violet enjoys the live-out-loud-in-your-PJs sorta lifestyle she loves writing about, which involves lots of: 1) excuses to use her power tools, 2) doing stuff without checking the directions, and 3) impossible-to-be-duplicated 'special edition' dishes that laugh in the face of recipes. Born and raised in Hawai'i, Violet continues to live the no-shoes island way with her kids (daughter Violet & son Duke) and husband (aka their ringleader...and her most devoted fan).

This is the
second book in the Unfinished Love
series. This is not a standalone as it is the continuation of Addison and Caine’s
story. Their story started in Before That Night, which I LOVED! You can
check out that review above.
The first book
was so much deeper than this one… which is NOT a bad thing!! I loved this book,
maybe even slightly more that the first. This book was really focused on
finding each other again. There was so much more love and family… seeing what
they lost over 7 years must have proven that they don’t want to go through that
again. This book just felt lighter… if that makes sense. It was a fantastic
ending to this duet. There was a ton more fun in this book. This book was definitely
more focused on family and grown together than the secrets and just Caine and
Addison. I loved that!
I love, LOVE,
flove that we get more from this family! We really got a bit more of everyone
in this book and that just gets me so synced up for more books. Plus this
couples “ending” or “beginning” was just so perfect that I can’t wait to get
some updates on them through other books!
