My Review

I so wanted to like this book but it fell short for me. I feel like it had so much promise!! I loved the main character, Polly Doyle. I guess there was just too much thrown in this story for me... it would have been perfect if we picked a main plot and stuck with it. I just felt so scattered with the Bake Off, that was almost a background thought, the cheating ex slimball, the friendship group, all the crazy awesome characters, and the phone sex operator, plus the fake fiance stuff. I'm not saying this book is bad, not at all... don't think that! I think it has great potential!!

I read an advanced copy but I am hoping that they grammar mistakes are fixed... there were a TON! I'm used to some, as I mostly read ARCs, heck... I make some! But there was a ton in this book. I didn't remove any stars for this though, since like I said, it is an ARC and is to be expected in my opinion. 

So, if Michelle is reading this... I LOVED your book, I laughed through it and really wanted to give it 4 star. I don't feel like I can though. I think if you had omitted either the fake fiance stuff and/or the sex operator scandal... it might have made it. I think you could have written two books off everything you had going on in this one and I don't feel you gave the Bake Off the due it deserved.

MY REVIEW

This book… well it isn't for the timid. There's some serious messed up stuff happening in this book. I like the love story, the vengeful girlfriend meets FBI profiler. If you can't take gore or violence, walk away... now. It doesn't bother me, I'm totally an eye for an eye type of girl. I have a feeling these boys deserve every bit of pain they're receiving.

The writing is perfect and creepy. I love to see Lana getting what she deserves but love the irony in it as well. There was a part... we'll say Lana was caught red-headed and I literally gasped! This book is just amazing! Read it... it'll consume you!!

Cindy C. Cole is the writer and mother of five who wrote Fairy Business a few years ago, using her three youngest children as her inspiration. She lives in Connecticut with her husband and children, and five cats. 

Fairy Business was a labor of love, written with excitement and gusto, and edited in a matter of months. Being my first chapter book, it took much longer than the few picture books I had done prior. The characters are based on my identical twin daughters and youngest son. The story is about twin fairies who are growing up to become fairy godmothers, but the youngest twin, Zenia, wishes to be the first female tooth fairy in Wingdom. While she strives to reach this goal, she stumbles into a few problems along the way. With the help of her sister, Evion, and a few unlikely friends, will she be able to overcome these obstacles? I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it.

My Review

My daughter was completely thrilled with this book. She felt like she was the girl that Zenia had visited for her tooth fairy business for the first time. She had the brown, long ringlets with long eyelashes and freckles. Of course, she realized later that it wasn't her but she loved it!

If you have a beginner reader that needs some confidence this is the perfect book for her! It is more of a girl book but I think boys would like it too. There are some words that are a bit of a struggle and the names are a little difficult but, again, it's a great book for those learning to read. With a little bit of assistance your child will be able to read this book no problem. So it did take us a bit longer than normal "easier" books but it was nice to have a bit of a challenge. 

This story is wonderfully, imaginative! The characters are wonderful and so fun. The illustrations are super adorable!! I do wish they were in color since we were reading this at night it was a bit harder to see. 

 This wonderful story told a fun, creative tale and taught important lessons learned by  characters. This charming story has it all for young readers and even enjoyment to make you smile at your child reading it. Young readers will be entranced. The major theme in this charming book is that helping others really does make you feel special and good inside.

My Review 

So I think my favorite things about this little stepping stool is the fact that I can pull it out, set it up, and put it back away all with one hand. There's no million pieces to attach or put together. I love that!

I have a 7 year old, 60 pound daughter and this works great for her help in the kitchen.  Another great thing about this stool is the pads on the bottom that help it from sliding around. Something needed with kids.

This stool says it's safe for people up to 350 pounds. I'm not sure that's accurate but haven't tested that out since none of us weigh that, thank goodness! It safely holds 200 pounds though.
