So there are some books that you just can’t talk too much about. Mostly, or at least in this case, because the story is so insane that you deserve to read it yourself and live it without any interference. So I’m gonna keep my review on Crowned by Hate by Amo Jones short and sweet and to the point. I tell ya, Ms. Jones has a way of telling a crazy story… half the time I’m left wondering what is going on in her mind! LOL

In Crowned by Hate we go on a crazy ride! It is dark themed and there are some sections you may reread because you’re sure you could NOT have read what you just read… you did, you really, really did! Isa is a fantastic character, I didn’t like her to begin with. She grew on me after a while. I liked her “I don’t give a crap” attitude. I had a bit of a hard time getting into it in the beginning…. I hate rude people and she came off super RUDE! I’m glad I stuck with it though. 

Ms. Jones tells a story like no other author. She’s so descriptive. She’s so creative in her storylines. Her characters are super unique and incredibly interesting. My main beef with this book is that I felt confused for most of it! Like I was left in a fog and everything was too vague or too much of a mystery for me to understand. I’m looking forward to the next installment of this book. I’m hoping I’ll get some of my questions answered.

This was an amazing story! I’m not sure I could have loved this plot and story line more than I did. Niko was fascinating. I love going back and forth from his past to present. He was such a young boy and loved with all his heart. Some of those flashbacks were so heartbreaking… and extremely graphic. I loved the tunnel vision type of focus on the two main characters. There wasn’t much of a side story or really anything happening on around. Niko was solitary.

This book took me nearly a week to read. That’s a bit long for me. It wasn’t boring or anything like that. It was long. There are some extremely graphic happenings with Lelu. Some bits were a bit graphic and made my heart sad. But, it wasn’t too much. So, if you are a bit sensitive, I would deter from this book. It can be tough. So heed the warning and be careful if you have a trigger. I also had a few lingering questions… where did Lelu come from? The actual name, did I miss that? Also, I just wish the ending was a bit more explained. It was explained and the ending is great… I wanted more of the “Bad Guys” story.

As a series I LOVE how all the covers are extremely similar. I really think having covers similar like this shows their connection. Plus… they are gorgeous and extremely symbolic! I cringe when I see half naked people on the cover so when I see breath-taking covers like this that really pulls at people’s thoughts and feelings. It’s harder to pull off covers like this. You’re working more off your readers feelings that just lust… I like it… A LOT!!

Seraphina’s Awakening (Book One)

Book one is the perfect start of a fantastic series. This is a story about Seraphina "Sera." She is going through an extremely rough patch in her life and is having trouble dealing with, well, life. Sera is in her mid 20s and still living with her parents… I mean, we all know how terrible that is! I can’t even imagine that as an adult… it sends shivers up my spine! Nate is just mad at GOD for making him take on this new job. And on Earth! (How dare He!) The nerve he has to watch over a measly human. It’s just mind numbing! I love his cockiness!! 

The Awakening is aptly named as it seems both Nate and Sera have awoken… finally! I really found this to be a fast-paced read that was really relatable. For the paranormal romance, which I don’t normally read, I really LOVED this book! I was so happy I didn’t have to wait for book 2… Seraphina’s Initiation

Seraphina’s Initiation (Book Two)

With book 2, I really feel like I’m getting into the meat of the situation. Seraphina is learning more about herself and growing. This is really the book where we see her as a strong lead and she is amazing!! Seraphina’s Initiation really felt like its own book… yes, you should and need to read book one but this felt like its own entity. 

I love that in this book we get more of Jack and open right to his POV. I love books with multiple POVs!! Seraphina’s Initiation does not disappoint at all. I love the characters and Sheena Hutchinson mixes humor and seriousness flawlessly. Seraphina and Nate are the perfect blend of strength and culpability. This is one series you do NOT want to miss or pass by! I would have NEVER thought that I would enjoy paranormal romance like this but this series has changed my thoughts!! 

 

Seraphina’s Vengeance (Book Three) - Coming Sept 2017

Here I am… never thinking I’ve really enjoyed a paranormal romance type of book but gosh if I’m not salivating for all these books!! Sheena Hutchinson has definitely upped this series up to a 10… I mean, how am I suppose to rate this JUST a 5?!?! I can’t even tell you all… this was just perfection! Book 3 is the best of the series! I mean… that completely unexpected turn? I’m just stumbling! This story is completely off the grid! 

Seraphina’s Vengeance delivers some of the most amazing plot twists that I have read in a while! I really don’t (or shouldn’t) go too much into anything in this review… the title tells you all you need to know, it’s a story of vengeance and gone is the Seraphina that just goes with life. She’s taking the bull by the horns and going to town… every analogy you can think of, insert here! I love how she’s transformed, she’s complete BAD ASS!!!!! She’s morphed into one of my favorite female heroines! I did not see that coming! So walk into Seraphina’s vengeance expecting the unexpected! 

Sheena Hutchinson is taking on this intense ride and we have no idea where it will land! Enjoy the ride though! Hutchinson takes this book a little darker than others and I LOVE seeing this side of Seraphina. She’s vicious! I flew through this book… like it felt like I was done within hours but that can’t be possible, it took me at least a day! I’m just so sad that I’m caught up and am now awaiting the fourth book, Seraphina’s Revolution! I’m ready!!
