SYNOPSIS

MY REVIEW

I’ll start out saying this has a cliffhanger! Book 2, Finding Strength, will be out January 17, 2017. I didn’t realize at the time that it would have a cliffy. Although I am happy to hear that I get more Cory and Lacey. Plus… I mean that ending was amazing!! Totally took me by surprise!!

This is Reagan Hollow’s debut novel and I really think she did great. The storyline really pulls you in and keeps you interested right at the start of the book. Lacey has such a hard life. It was like she just couldn’t catch a break and anything bad that could happen… would happen to Lacey. I do wish this was a dual POV story though; I’m not counting the 1 chapter at the end. There was so much mysteriousness with Corey that I think being in his head a bit to would have helped me be a bit more invested in him. I know that can totally be preference though and I know, I love dual POV.

The fact that Cory took Lacey out on motorcycle ride and the beautiful way Hollow wrote this part makes me think she's at least been on the back of a bike before. There's something that feels so safe when you wrap your arms around your man and cruise down the road. I think Hollow conveyed that closeness perfectly of driver and passenger and she's making me miss being up against the back of my husband.

Martha Sweeney

 I have been creative since she was little, always drawing, coloring or making crafts. When my adult life kicked in, my creative outlet disappeared until I discovered Adobe Creative Suite products. During my ten years in the special needs community, I became a self-taught graphic and website designer. While helping my husband with the publication of his book, The Harem, my desire to write emerged.

I’m an Amazon Best Seller in the Bisexual Romance section for my first novel of the ‘Just Breathe’ series, ‘Breathe In’ as well as for the entire ‘Just Breathe’ trilogy and aspire to be a self-published author on the NY Times and USA Today Best-Seller lists.

During my journey of becoming a self-published author, I noticed that there wasn’t/isn’t a full training course that supports authors at every level of the self-publishing process. The skills and tips and tricks I didn’t know, I scoured the internet to learn as I began to start writing. After I got many questions from fellow self-published authors wanting to know how I did and do the things I’ve done as an author, I created Bibliobules.com, an online and live event community for authors, bloggers and readers which also has an Author Mentorship Program.

Aside from the books I’ve already published, I have at least ten (10) in my head to share. Some will be standalones while others will be series. I hope that you enjoy the characters I create and the stories of their lives.

My  Review

I can’t dive into this book until we talk about the outside of it… look at that damn cover!! How beautiful is that woman? I mean, she looks LETHAL!! And fierce!! And sexy!!! This has got to be one of the best book covers I have seen in a while plus it’s black and white... classy! The real Laurie is exactly the book Laurie!!! If you don’t know what I’m talking about check out Martha Sweeney’s post on Goodreads!

I seriously love Leia (Laurie). I love that she was able to take her power back from an abusive husband. There isn't much more an abusive, controlling man hates than having to share his wife with someone who removes all your power. I mean, wow, Jack… what a pansy!

OMG, Laura and Aiden are adorable! I can't help but laugh at the scene after they changed a light bulb… “I'll give you a kiss if you let me go.” Plus all that your fingers are crossed and time limit stuff and Paul's comic relief! I really didn't expect the humor in this book but man... it is funny! Besides being funny, this book is super suspenseful. It was a book that I wasn’t able to put down, I dried my hair while reading on my phone. It is unputtdownably awesome!!!

For as much as this book is funny, sweet, and adorable… it’s twice as fierce! Laurie is one kickass woman! Just like everyone else in this book, I didn’t know who to trust. My mind was everywhere and everyone, except the two leads, were guilty. I was very excited to see that this is a part 1 because I NEED more of Laurie and Aiden… I need more of the secondary characters like Trudy and even Codie.

I enjoyed this book so very much! I read it within a day...it's just a short little novella, although I'm sure once all 3 parts are out, it will be a decent sized book.

This is such a fun idea...a Love Addicts Anonymous in house program. I know we've all heard of sex addicts with Tiger Woods out there but a love addict is a completely new idea to me! This book was so fun and light. I can't wait for part 2.

This is the second book in a week that I've read with 2 authors and I just love how these two write together. They have such a good flow that I don't know when one ends and the other starts.

So we have Vicky Sullivan who believes in true love with all of her and is so sure she has found it in Bruce. But their story is sketchy and oozes lying scumbag to me but it's hard to tell since we just get Vicky's point of view. Vicky is totally the idealistic girl dreaming of her white knight.

Kade Wright is the life of his party! He's charismatic, full of himself, funny, and loves sex and/or women. He has standards and rules though, he does not do repeats, relationships, no exchanging numbers, and especially no clingers. Basically he's Vicky's total opposite!! But his sexapades are getting some negative attention directed at his business, a business that, unfortunately for him, is run with the help of a board that isn't too keen on his extra curricular activities affecting the business.

So of course, they get roomed up together in this new treatment plan. I'm preparing myself for a  tense, sexplosive situation. Kade and Vicky are in serious denial and think everyone else has the problem, not them, isn't that what every addict thinks? I'm looking forward to seeing how this sex addict paired up with a love addict can help each other. I mean right away Kade is battling his sexual feeling for Vicky but she's clinging to Bruce. What's sexier to a man than a woman he can't have plus the rules, oh the rules LAA has!!

MY REVIEW 

Kerry Wilkinson has created a creepy but riveting new novel with "The Killer Inside." It's a psychological thriller that keeps readers turning the page wanting more. This story is infused with humor, originality, and mystery. I just can't recommend it enough.

This police procedural starts off very quickly and maintains a fast pace throughout, definitely a fast-paced thriller.  As more murders occur, the newly appointed detective DS Daniel and the journalist, Garry, work together looking for connections, trying to unmask the killer.  Wilkinson writes so the readers can FEEL the building tension that leads naturally to the explosive ending!

This was such a quick read but we do get some background details on DS Daniel to build on her character and help the reader understand who she is as a person and a detective. There are subplots involving her retired ex-partner and her flat mate/best friend, which are important and add to the plot. I’m definitely excited to see that NetGalley has the second novel queued up. I’m hoping this turns into a great series similar to MJ Arlidge’s DI Helen Grace. 

Kerry Wilkinson give us an exciting, fast paced, thriller/crime thriller with an engaging new DS to follow.  This is one I would definitely recommend!
