First, I HAVE to mention this cover. Good Lord man, it’s gorgeous! Bethany-Kris has the most amazing covers. They are so classic looking and elegant. Every time she releases a new book I want the paperback so super badly! Effortless is no different than all her other books… just beautiful. They make you stop and look at them. I know if I hadn’t already read her, I’d want her books based purely on the covers, however, the words that are between the cover and ending is just as perfect. 

So here we have to offspring of the Donati family with daughter Camilla and the Rossi family son Tommaso. Man, here we have a secondary capo who was on a break in New York visiting his friend Cross (swoon) who meets Cross’s sister Camilla. Tom falls for Camilla… sparks are flying; sexual tension is off the charts! However, Camilla isn’t interested in a relationship. She’s footloose and fancy free! No commitment, no strings, no emotions… that’s what Camilla wants. 

This couple was incredible. I am never disappointed in the worlds of organized crime that Bethany-Kris creates for us. Tom was a bit regal; he was a good, strong made-man. I loved how level head he was. He was bored with is capo days and nights. He felt a bit stale. Cam was exactly what he needed. This fun, free-spirited woman set his life on fire. She works hard where she needs to and plays hard where she wants too. Tom and Cam were fun together; she seemed to bring out this side to him that was lacking. They banter between them was hilarious! They had fun together. I loved how they bantered and played back and forth, it was nearly a form of foreplay for them. It added a lovely contrast to their bedroom behavior. They were naughty and hot… everything you would want from an erotica book. 

I loved seeing Cross’s guest appearances! It always makes me giddy to check in with the other characters that I have previously fallen for. It’s like getting to visit them in between a stay with new friends. Bethany-Kris builds these wonderfully close families of organized crime bosses and we get to watch all of them fall in love and be brought to their knees by what every woman she creates for them. I love it! I am a complete feen for every story she writes.

And so fast too. I have two children who truly are my very best friends, and their faces never fail to put a smile on my face. I have been married to my husband for sixteen years, and even though at times I want to beat him with a stick, I would never change the years we have had. We have learned and fallen, only to pick each other up, dust off the ache, and help each other make it right.

CA Harms has written a mesmerizing story here. Her words and the plot just flowed so perfectly. You can’t help but to lose yourself in the land that Harms creates for her readers. You will find yourself immersed in this book. You just won’t be able to help yourself.

I just can’t even explain how much I was smitten with all these adorable characters!! I mean, Toby, gah, he was just absolutely adorable! It was so fun and such a hoot to read about all the shenanigans the frat boys thought up! Xavier was so fascinating to watch the transformation from foot-loose frat boy to sophisticated man. Morgan definitely has a steal brigade around her! I enjoyed Xavier chipping away at that exterior, as well, as Morgan growing up and learning to lean and to trust. Who could have known that their one night stand would turn into a real romance… a true love affair?

CA Harms creates a wonderful book that has these way too funny moments. I loved seeing Morgan and Xavier develop beyond their drunken one night stand to the passion and love you need in a real relationship. I can’t wait to see where Harms takes us in the rest of the Oh Tequila series… I have a feeling it’s gonna continue to get hot and I really hope to see some more of the humor Harms has given this group! They are great!
