Allie Sutton just got a new job.
Not one she wants, and definitely not one she's prepared for. She hadn't seen her dad in years, so the last thing she expects upon his sudden death is to inherit the thing he loved more than anything (or anyone) ... the professional football team he owned for the last twenty years.
Luke Pierson does not want a new boss.
What he wants is to be a good father to his daughter, the best quarterback possible for his teammates. What he doesn't need is a blonde bombshell ruining the team's chances at another championship. Especially when that bombshell turns out to be his new neighbor. The neighbor he was a complete jerk to the first time they met.
For the sake of the team, they treat each other like complete professionals. In public, at least. Behind closed doors, it's a different story. And the fallout of giving in to that heat is something neither one of them can see coming.
Single dad books seems to be all the rage right now. The Bombshell
Effect was a really light and sweet story. I did enjoy the single father
and sports romance aspect of it plus you have that bit of a romcom
added in to round it out nicely. Karla Sorensen always seems to write
fantastic characters that I can’t help but fall for. Allie and Luke were
incredibly well developed. Their chemistry and the steam was off the
charts... I could see the smoke rising off my Kindle anytime they were
close to each other.
Luke is the perfect leader of the pack felt his teammates. He’s broody and a bit difficult but he’s got a sweet spot for his little Faith. And didn’t she just steal the show!?! Allie was the top dog for me though... which might have shocked me a smidge! I am generally all about the nerdy bookworm girl, the awkward socially-anxious girl that can’t get out of her own way. Allie is a none of those things. She’s strong and fierce! She knows she’s beautiful and uses it to her advantage. But she’s also struggling to find herself and a bit insecure. It’s an interesting conflict that had me completely falling for who she is.
It may start with sparks but there’s a raging inferno hiding just under those exterior layers. This was a perfect late night read. It wasn’t too angst-filled but it was still full of feelings and heart. If you like some scorchin’ sexy times and insta-chemistry The Bombshell Effect is perfect!
I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.

Well, let’s see ... I’m a wife and a mother. If the things that I write bring a smile to someone's face, then I've done my job. I am obsessed with Outlander (both the books and the show). I’m almost exclusively a romance reader, which means some people will never consider me a literary snob. If I could meet one historical figure, it would be Jane Austen. I received my Bachelors in Public Relations and worked in health care marketing before I had my babies. I hate Twitter. I do it, but I hate it. Also, if you want to get on my good side, bring me wine and I'll love you forever.
