Bane, Bane… you’re my man! I feel like I’ve waited for your story for
ages and Ms. LJ Shen did not disappoint! She came in with pencils
blazing and took me for a ride across the pages with her story! Ms. Shen
is amazing in her ability to create these guys who are not heroes, at
all, but she makes you fall in love with them no matter what and who
these men really are. Bane was chocked full of sex appeal. Thank
goodness for that since he was unapologetically rude and hard. Jesse was
exactly what Bane needed. I was so happy to see Jesse blossom… she
finally opened up and made it so we could like her too. You know, these
women gotta work even harder if they want to get our man, and Bane, well
I wasn’t sharing him easily.
Every time Shen releases a new book, I think this is it… she can’t do better than this (no offense), this is my favorite LJ Shen book. But the next time she comes out with another book, it tops my list. She did it again and I love Bane more than all the others. Although, I bet if I were to go back and reread I bet they’d be my favorite too! I’m funny like that. Anyway, Bane, the book not just the man, was so full of emotional pain and upheaval. Ms. Shen was so creative in her story-telling. It’s lovely and I never wanted it to end.
