What He Doesn’t Know Duet, book 2
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Left or right.
It’s that simple, and it isn’t simple at all.
If I turn left, the road will lead me back to the man I promised my life to, the one I’d imagined building a family with, the one who’s done everything in his power to get me back.
If I turn right, the road will take me to the man I loved first, the man who brought me back to life, the man who would do anything to keep me.
I knew the fork in the road was inevitable; it was the decision I never wanted to make between choices I didn't know I had.
And I love them both.
My heart is destined to exist in two equal halves — one with each man. But one half beats stronger, the vein running deepest, and holds my choice in silence long before I know it for myself.
The realization of what I have to do, of the heart I have to break, just might break mine too.
Left or right.
All I have to do is take a breath and turn.
It’s that simple, and it isn’t simple at all.

Oh Kandi, Kandi, Kandi… what a
duet! I’ll be honest, I don’t normally read love triangle. I’m just not into
them and never understand how a person can get themselves in that type of
position. Not that I understand now, but reading this duet… well it opened my
mind up to possibilities… to the could haves… and the might haves. Kandi
Steiner has a way to open her readers mind and really get us thinking beyond
what we feel and think. It’s a serious talent for an author to have and a
talent that I look for when I decide to follow an author’s career. Rarely does
the second book in a duet live up to the wonder and hype that was created in
the first book of the duet. Kandi Steiner created something with this duet.
Both books were uniquely masterful. Both of these books pack such an emotional
punch that it’ll leave you bruised after.
I really struggled with
Charlie. At one point, I felt for her and could see how torn she was between
two fantastic guys. However, there were also times that I felt she was evil and
cruel for leading these two amazing guys on. I wasn’t sure for the longest time
on who I wanted to “win” Charlie’s whole heart. These guys, Reese and Cameron,
both deserve to have the full heart of their woman. I went into this duet
knowing I might not like who gets the girl… heck, I didn’t even like the girl
half the time! But as I was nearly done with book 1, I chose my team, my side…
my guy. I just wasn’t sure if Charlie was good enough for him or either of them
really. At one point, I was hoping that both guys would wipe their hands and
walk away!
So here we are, I’m into book 2
and I have my guy picked. Kandi Steiner made me a nervous wreck! I wasn’t sure
which way any of this was going to go. This is the BEST love triangle I have
ever read… yeah, yeah… I’ve only read a few. But this one, this one will get
reread and passed on to other readers and raved about! Steiner wrote a story
where you’re going to love and hate some characters. You’re going to be on one
team and think about swapping teams. Steiner makes you question my thoughts. I
was nervous. My heart dropped several times during What He Always Knew. I’m
honestly not sure how I made it out of this book with my mind intact. This was
quite the duet. It was so full of angst and feelings (oh, the feelings)! This
gives us an up close and personal look at what it’s like to love two people and
trying and choose.
I wish you luck as you read
this duet… it’s messy and heart breaking. You’re going to feel the words in
these books. The feelings won’t always be pleasant!
I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.

About the Author:
Kandi Steiner is a Creative Writing and Advertising/Public Relations graduate from the University of Central Florida living in Tampa. Kandi works full time as a social media specialist, but also works part time as a Zumba fitness instructor and blackjack dealer.
Kandi started writing back in the 4th grade after reading the first Harry Potter installment. In 6th grade, she wrote and edited her own newspaper and distributed to her classmates. Eventually, the principal caught on and the newspaper was quickly halted, though Kandi tried fighting for her “freedom of press.” She took particular interest in writing romance after college, as she has always been a die hard hopeless romantic (like most girls brought up on Disney movies).
When Kandi isn’t working or writing, you can find her reading books of all kinds, talking with her extremely vocal cat, and spending time with her friends and family. She enjoys beach days, movie marathons, live music, craft beer and sweet wine – not necessarily in that order.
