Reese Woodward had returned to town with dark secrets, and he was determined to unravel them. While evil lurks in the darkness, seduction burns between them…only time was their enemy.

Unlocking Fear was a good introduction to what I think is going to be a fantastic series! We get introduced to the family that is going to be behind the storyline and plot. In that essence, I was surprised that it wasn’t a bit longer because it really gives you the background and sets the stage for everything.

Noah and Reese were amazing together. Kennedy Layne wrote such a captivating story. Normally I can guess who’s behind what but I wasn’t able to in this book. As my first Layne book, I was incredibly pleases with how well she wrote. The romance was really prominent, yet, the mystery and suspense is what really kept me rushing through the pages. Noah and Reese have an instantaneous attraction… sparks fly and danger is lurking behind the corner.

I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I will leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.
