Ms. Walls wrote an amazing story and made me really think about if what’s always been acceptable for men… is acceptable for women? I found myself really liking Miranda, mainly just because she knew what she wanted but swept it to the side for what she felt she had to do. Sure, she broke hearts… including Austin’s. But for every bad choice, there’s a reason. Ms. Walls really gave us an enchanting story here… with second chances and all.

Oh man, Stephie Wells writes an amazing story here!! I love a good heart-warming story about young love, about coming of age, making mistakes, growing up, and getting second chances. Unexpected Arrivals seriously warmed my heart!! Walls writes a beautifully, captivating story that pulls you in! It reads just like a real life story… you run through a gamut of emotions while feeling all of them!!

The characters… Carp and Cora were so relatable and just so darn likable. I was rooting for them. Cursing at their mistakes and swooning over the love and fun. If you are looking for a book to tug at your heart without completely breaking you, Unexpected Arrivals is a GREAT book for it!! You’ll love the characters and the plot is original and interesting. I just can’t recommend it enough!! I try not to hand out 5 star ratings often… they are special ratings… they are for the books that I close and feel my heart smile with happiness. Those are the books that I find myself noting to recommend and to obsess over… I did all that with Unexpected Arrivals! Read it… love it!!

Woah… this is my first Stephie Walls book and hot darn… is it great!!! This is a single parent storyline like nothing you have ever read. Walls’ writing was utterly perfection. I wanted to go searching for Gianna because we needed to be besties!! That’s how real she makes you feel!!

Gianna is a character that you come to care for and respect… as a person and a mom. She’s had a crapshoot but she comes out swinging for those she loves. My heart seriously ached for her! Just like most moms, Gianna puts herself last. She’s been broken down and just seems like she’s grasping at straws.

This book… it was so original and fresh that I didn’t know where the Walls was going. I actually think I’ve read enough books that I shouldn’t be too surprised. But Walls did that. She left me wondering what was next.
