Blurb:

Hollywood is a temptress, a trickster, a soul-stealing devil. I married an A-list player, knowing I come second place to his craft. But Lucas and I are a golden couple, a modern-day fairy tale.

I’ve never doubted what we built...until the sudden death of Lucas’s best friend has scandal rocking the Hills and shaking the foundation of our relationship.

I chose Lucas as my safe haven...he chose the role of a lifetime.

For the next three months, I’ll share my nights with a stranger, watching as he buries his pain, immersed in his role and living as someone else.

We’ve done this before. I tell myself it’s just another movie, and he’ll return to me.

I should’ve known this time would be different.

To get my husband back, I’ll need the strength of ten men.

As it turns out, I’ll have to go through two.

Do you know what happens when you crack open a Kate Stewart book when you have a free day? Or at least a day free from working. If you're me, it means you spend the day curled up on couch with a coffee and words brought to you by Kate Stewart. It was wonderful to spend hours reading Method from start to finish while ignoring my family and housework. I'll be honest, I needed this and Kate Stewart was the author to give me some much needed relaxation. I mean, Kate Stewart transports you to a place where you can just read and become a spectator in her world.

Method is really unique. I really enjoyed how Stewart presents the story. Having a couple already together and going back and reliving their entire coupling is beautiful and heartbreaking. I'm just in awe of Stewart's storytelling. She manages to make my heart ache while still having the ability to make me laugh... and those naughty bits were so much more than just sexy. You could feel the intimacy with Mila and Lucas. Everything about this book is unique and special. Stewart gives us a close up look at several various relationships and how different we are with others and how we make up those relationships.

I really feel like Method is a book that everyone should read especially for those struggling in their different roles. It's eye opening. Last year Kate Stewart and Heather M. Orgeron wrote my favorite book, Heartbreak Warfare. It was so many readers favorite. While this story is nowhere near the same... I am so happy to see and feel of Mrs. Stewart's words resonate so deeply again. Method is so much more than I thought it was going to be.

Shocking.

Stunning.

Beautiful.

Heartbreaking.

Soulful.

Poignant.

Intimate.

Intense.

Touching.

Passionate.

Kate Stewart filled my heart. She broke me, only to lift my heart and my spirit. I truly wish I could reread this story again for the first time. Sometimes an author manages to touch you deeper than just your heart... she caresses your soul. This is more than a good read! It was just what I needed to read today.

I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.

About the Author:

A Texas native, Kate Stewart lives in North Carolina with her husband, Nick, and her naughty beagle, Sadie. She pens messy, sexy, angst-filled contemporary romance as well as romantic comedy and erotic suspense because it's what she loves as a reader. Kate is a lover of all things '80s and '90s, especially John Hughes films and rap. She dabbles a little in photography, can knit a simple stitch scarf for necessity, and on occasion, does very well at whiskey.

Book Blurb:

Imogen

There is no way we can still love and cherish one and other.

When I married Theo Walsh, the rough, bearded townie who worked construction on my family’s summer house, I’d found my happily ever after.

That was before the fighting.
Before the jealousy.
Before the infertility.

We’ll be divorced long before death does us part.

But to secure my place in the family dynasty, there is just one more hoop I have to jump through. And I need him to do it.

Faking the marriage we once thrived in will gut me.
Especially with the secret I’m carrying.

Theo

I would have sacrificed for her until the end of time.

My job.
My home.
My happiness.

I’d given it all up to marry her. That’s how much I loved Imogen Weston, the daughter to one of the world’s richest families.

From the day we met, I’d done nothing but try to live up to the man she expected to be with. And now, I was done.

Sure, I’d complete this one final ask of hers, even if it destroyed me.

But I’ve made her promise the one thing that might save me. She swore that after she got everything she ever wanted, she wouldn’t look back.

I made my wife vow to leave me forever.

Wow, just... I’ve read every single one of Carrie Aarons books. Some have been funny, some haunting, some emotional, some tense and a bit suspenseful... they are always great stories with layered meanings. Down We’ll Come, Baby pretty much follows this same rules, great story with layered meanings, however, it was so raw and heartbreaking. It made me feel anger and, I actually felt like I disliked a character. I’ve never really felt displeasure or a character of hers before but I really didn’t like Imogen. She was so weak-minded and superficial. She seriously did not deserve Theo.

Are you wondering why I continued reading a book where I didn’t relate or like one of the main characters? I don’t feel like I had to like her when I was so gone for him. I think this book really shows us that life isn’t perfect. People aren’t perfect. We all make mistakes and honestly, not everyone is likable. One of the things I enjoy best about Mrs. Aarons books is that they always feel plausible. So yes, Imogen might come off as incredibly self-centered and self-absorbed... but can’t we all be?

Down We’ll Come, Baby is just what I have come to expect from Carrie Aarons writing. It’s deep and meaningful. She gives us stories that make us pause and ponder on the situations. This is really one of the deepest, rawest, and must angstful feeling books that Carrie Aarons has written. She really touches on so many things... love, loss, family, expectations, different lifestyles, having children... just every day obstacles. Aarons writing is gripping and flows so smoothly. The way she describes her scenes and set up the story just seemed to flow. As always, I can’t wait to see the next place Carrie Aarons will take me!

I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.
