FIX
A stand-alone romance novel in the Brewed series
I’m a lot of things.
The youngest Dixon. Town handyman. Best you’ll ever have . . . you’re welcome.
One thing I’m not? The guy who falls in love.
When Rae Jacobs enters my town with her ever-present laptop and caffeine addiction, she offers me a fleeting glance and a simple demand:
Don’t fall in love with her.
Bold.
Assuming.
Laughable, considering she isn’t exactly my type.
Wasn’t.
But she inadvertently shook up my life with her alluring, carefree spirit until I wanted more.
Until I made her mine.
She’s a habit I can’t quit. A fix I can’t get enough of.
Each day brings me closer to saying the three words I’ve always mocked.
But with one call, the piled-high secrets she’s kept start unraveling around her, and I have a feeling the demand that first day wasn’t so simple.
But with one call, the piled-high secrets she’s kept start unraveling around her, and I have a feeling the demand that first day wasn’t so simple.

I was pretty shocked with Fix from Molly McAdams. I've read
her last few series and the start of the Brewed series doesn't seem as dark as
her previous ones. Don't you worry, the darkness is still present but it isn't
as nearly as substantial. The darkness is a more personal darkness, the
darkness that resides within ourselves. The part that is scared and locks
itself away from others... too scared to put anything out there to chance or
the unknown.
Can I just commend McAdams on her character development? I
mean, Rae was a woman that I was so confused with. She is exactly what I was
talking about above. She's closed off with no real interest in getting to know
others. She's scared to care because caring or loving someone means they'll
leave. That's what it has always meant for Rae. Young Sawyer captured my heart.
When that boy loves, he loves with reckless abandon. Adult Sawyer is a bit more
conservative, scare to love or open up.
I'll be super honest; I've read two back-to-back incredibly
emotional books. I'm actually relieved, I love a good emotional knock out but
these two were brutal and I'm happy to dive into a romantic comedy. Molly
McAdams wrote a crazy good story here with characters you loved and a character
that was a bit hard to love, which makes her a bit more special IMO. The small
town of Amber was just adorable! There's something special about a small town
romance that makes if feel real... a place to put on a vacation list.
I received
an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was
not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just
that... my opinions.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Molly grew up in California but now lives in the oh-so-amazing state of Texas with her husband, daughter, and fur babies. When she's not diving into the world of her characters, some of her hobbies include hiking, snowboarding, traveling, and long walks on the beach . . . which roughly translates to being a homebody and dishing out movie quotes with her hubby. She has a weakness for crude-humored movies and loves curling up in a fluffy blanket during a thunderstorm . . . or under one in a bathtub if there are tornados. That way she can pretend they aren't really happening.
