“Dylan Allen is a master of slow-burn to scorching hot, but it’s the journey that she takes her readers on that really sets her apart. This book is a must!”
--Ginger Scott, Amazon bestselling author
The Legend, an all-new steamy, second-chance romance from Dylan Allen, is available now!
The love of a lifetime deserves a million chances.
Remington Wilde had heartbreak written all over him.
He was the most beautiful boy I’d ever seen.
When I looked into his midnight eyes,
I saw a happy ending I’d never dared to dream of.
I was seventeen the first time he asked for my heart,
I didn’t hesitate to hand it over.
In exchange, he gave me the best summer of my life.
He was my first everything.
Falling in love felt written in the stars...
But our legend, it turns out, was all a lie.
And when our story ended, all I had was a broken heart.
Now, he wants a second chance.
But this time, I’ve got more to lose than just my heart.
When the lies that pulled us apart, threaten again, it will take more than sweet words from his sinful mouth to convince me.
He says the love of a lifetime deserves a million chances,
But am I strong enough to fall again?

I never feel like I can write a review that does a Dylan
Allen book justice. I LOVED this book... so much! Like it is the BEST book I’ve
read so far this year! It’s funny, every time I read a Dylan Allen book I
think, this is it! She’s written her best book yet! Every time I think it, I’m
right. She keeps getting better and stronger in her writing. The Legend reads
like pure poetry, like music flowing from her soul.
Dylan Allen walks in and just flings all the words at you from the get-go. I was blindsided when I read the opening pages... so full of feelings and angst! Everything I have come to love and respect about her stories just hit me upside the head from the first word. She hurled them all at me and I felt Remi right then and there. Poor guy took a beating. Remi is impossible to not love... he’s kind and sweet, he’s humble and thoughtful, he’s considerate and respectful. The modesty he excludes is probably my favorite characteristic though. Kal is a perfect balance for Remi. They are both stronger together. I really loved that about them. They can, and have, lived without each other but they don’t want to. Kal, for as sweet and pure and kind as she is, I was thrilled... no ecstatic when she showed everyone what true class is. Sometimes you have to put people in their place though. They don’t deserve your silence. Sometimes they deserve to be backhanded even if it’s only verbally.
These are a few of my favorite quotes but you could pretty much highlight this entire book, its GOLD!

“This mind that is so curious and full. I could talk to you forever and never get tired of it.”
“She’s like quiet storm that rolled into my life just when I needed her, but instead of bringing destruction, she watered seeds that had been dormant inside of me.”
“They look like princesses. I just look like I’m playing one.”
“It’s only in fairytales that prince marries the chambermaid. It’s better for you to have a broken heart now rather than live with a string of them your whole life. “
“Legends don’t get to feel lightness. You are destined to be great. And you’ve got to accept the sacrifices that come with that.”
“She didn’t choose this situation. She married the love her life only to discover she would never be his."
The Legend is a book that will make you late for work. So a word of caution from someone who’s already lived that... don’t do “just one more chapter” before work. It isn’t possible to stop. Every part of this book feels like it’s on the cusp of something greater, we are reading The Legend, after all. It’s revelation after revelation and just when you’re starting to feel better Dylan Allen kicks out and trips you up... thunk... you’re flat on your face. There’s something about the way this author creates her stories and her people... it all-consuming.
I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.
