The Here’s To series was fantastic! Ugh… each story offers something special… something unique!

Here’s to Tomorrow was amazing! I have a series thing for single parent stories. This one was special with Hudson being a father at the super young age of 17. Age didn’t stop him from being a perfectly sweet and doting father. I really enjoyed how real this story felt. Rae is sweet. They seem to meld so well together and Joey, I mean, Joey was an amazing little girl! Adorbs!

Here’s to Yesterday was quite the emotional journey. We meet Maura in the previous book, she’s Rae’s bestie. She was just so completely relatable. I was so confused during this book between Tanner and Tucker. I was all over Tucker but Tanner is sweet too! Love triangles are usually not my thing… especially between brothers… because, well, family. I felt the ups and down in this books! I laughed with the banter and yelled at the characters. Ms. Teagan Hunter roped my heart with this book! I was in knots!

Here’s to Now was heavier… was deeper than the other books. Gaige and Hailey were an emotional storm and it poured on me half the time! I felt for Gaige. He broke my heart with the heavy baggage that he carries around. His life has been one regret after the other and he is his own worst enemy. I so needed the secondary characters that lightened the book a bit. They are just such a hoot… and I’ll be honest, this book was HAWT! Like… woah!

I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.

Here's to Tomorrow (Here's To, #1)

Book Blurb:

SEXY SINGLE DAD ROMANCE!

HUDSON
When I became a single father at seventeen, I knew my path wasn't going to be easy. Hell, sometimes it sucked. Year after year, I tirelessly busted my ass until my business was booming. Until my daughter was happy. Until life? It was good. Settled.

But sometimes being settled is overrated. Boring. Especially when a little excitement walks through my door in the shape of Rae Kamden. With her sarcastic mouth and smartass comebacks, she's the type of girl still sowing her wild oats and not looking to settle. Not with a guy like me.

RAE
I've been stuck in this small town since I was a child and nothing is going to keep me here. Not anymore. Done being tied down, I'm out of here the first chance I get. This town can kiss my ass goodbye.

I'm twenty-two. Single. Unwilling to settle. But if I did? It wouldn't be with Hudson Tamell.

So explain to me why the moment he looks up from under the hood of my car, the sarcastic replies on my lips come out sounding sweeter. Why does he make me want to settle down, right here, with him?

That's not what I wanted. But maybe it's what I need.

Here's to Forever (Here's To, #1.5)

Book Blurb:

HUDSON
I've been living in a blissful bubble for nearly a year now. Everything with Rae is perfect, and I feel like we're on the fast track to forever.

Then I go and do something stupid and suddenly we're speeding toward Splitsville. Well, to be fair, I've been doing something stupid. I just haven't had the balls to tell her about it.

It could break us. Or make us stronger. I'm only hoping she sees things my way...

RAE
I never anticipated my life looking like it does, living with my boyfriend and his eight-year-old daughter. But here I am, happier than I could have ever imagined.

Until Hudson screws it all up, telling lie after lie after freakin' lie. But he thinks he's "doing the right thing". He doesn't see things my way...

How am I supposed to say yes to forever when I can't even trust my tomorrow?

Maybe this was all a mistake...

Here's to Yesterday (Here's To, #2)

Book Blurb:

You're not supposed to fall in love with your boyfriend's brother...

HER
My entire life has been "perfect" for as long as I can remember. A loving family, a boyfriend who adores me, and anything I wanted, I got. But it was all a lie, a façade. My family isn't loving, my boyfriend is more interested in my body than my mind, and it turns out money can't buy happiness.

I've felt lost and stuck for far too long. Then, everything changed when I was least expecting it. It wasn't supposed to happen.

Not with...him.

HIM
I want to make one thing clear: I saw her first.

Not that it makes anything okay, but it's true. The moment she walked into my line of sight, I knew she was something special. I could see past the mask she wore, could see right down to her soul.

I recognized instantly that she needed a friend...and it just so happens I did too. So, I wormed my way in. Took her out on the town, forced her from her solitary existence. Together we grew brave, stepped outside the boxes we'd been placed in. Walked a thin line between "just friends" and something more.

I just didn't mean to fall in love with...her.

Here's to Now (Here's To, #3)

Book Blurb:

VEGAS WEDDING WITH A TWIST...

My life is full of regrets. I've screwed up more times than I can count, but I've spent the past several years atoning for my wrongdoings. I'm finally in a good place, ready to move on and step into the role waiting for me.

Then Haley Kamden comes crashing into my life, throwing me yet another curveball. Our relationship is one misadventure after the next. It's explosive in all the right ways, and so are we.

But I have baggage, and a lot of it.

I'm just hoping she can handle it...

From bestselling author Carolyn Arnold comes the next page-turning thriller in the Detective Madison Knight series, POWER STRUGGLE (November 28, 2017). The hit man who failed to kill Madison ten months earlier is back to finish the job, but she is not going down without a fight.

Its been nearly a year since Madison almost died at the hands of Russian Mafia assassin Constantine Romanov, and she hasn’t seen a trace of him since he escaped police custody and fled to Russia. But a new murder investigation has Madison on edge with suspicions of Romanovs return.

The man who killed her grandfather has been found dead, and the victims connections to the mob are indisputable. As Madison attempts to stay objective with such a personal case, her fears begin to manifest. Then a threatening let- ter from Romanov arrives. Hes out for blood, and not just Madisons. The hit man is bringing her loved ones into the crosshairs in his desire for revenge.

I’ve read a few of the Madison Knight mysteries and have loved them! I’d really like to go back and read all of them! Even though they can be read as a standalone, I know I’m missing stuff. They seem to be linked and some things carry over to the next books so I’d recommend reading them in order from beginning to end… even though I haven’t done that myself! I feel like I would have enjoyed it more if I read all of them in order.

Carolyn Arnold has recently turned into one of my favorite police procedural-type books. She writes so gritty… it’s exactly what you would expect from hard detectives that are way too overworked. In Power Struggle she packs it full of suspense with these hide and seek thriller. Knight is searching for one messed up assassin! Knight shows a bit more of her human side in Power Struggle. She’s battling this twistedly-brillant assassin and it’s personal this time. She’s more reckless than ever and she has this carelessness about her that’s putting her (and her family) on a dangerous line… but man, it makes a superb suspense novel!

Arnold writes perfect characters that we can all connect with. She really creates a real person in Madison Knight. I think we can all relate to how she handles some of these situations… her nightmares and the PTSD makes it so she’s more human than super cop! Arnold weaves a terrific story that unwinds bit-by-bit right in front of our eyes, she gives us these little teases and we think we might have it… but it’s never quite right! I loved the villain… I know, silly, but a good bad guy is hard to come by! Arnold had me flying through the pages with how consistent and fast-paced it was!

I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I will leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.
