Maya Hughes, that's me!, can often be found sneaking in another chapter while hiding in the bathroom from her kids! :-) I'm a romance writer who loves taking inspiration from everyday life, namely my husband and biggest fan. Inspiration also strikes when I hear a song, meet someone new or daydream while at soccer practice.

 

I love writing stories that capture the possibilities of the paths less travelled and enjoy experiencing life through my characters’ eyes.

 

I'm the mom of three little ones, the wife to an amazing husband and also work full time. Some of my favorite things are cupcakes, cinnamon rolls, white wine, laughing until I can't breathe, traveling with my family and Jeff Goldblum.

Good Lord, W. Winters can sure write an emotionally-charged story. I just loved the dual point of views and how full of emotions this story was. These were two really strong characters. A Kiss to Tell is an incredibly dark story. It could be that Sebastian is pretty much a jerk. He’s aloft and harsh, he comes off extremely cold and indifferent but he has a weakness… Chloe is his weakness. Watching him change and evolve was just lovely. Ms. Winters gives us an action-packed story full of secrets and lies. 

I didn’t realize this was somewhat connected to Merciless series, so I kind of felt like I was missing a bunch of stuff. I kept wondering if the book was lacking information or if I should have read this in a previous story. My fault for not researching more into this book but either way, this was a good read. It just lacked in some information for me. I enjoy a good well-rounded story. It doesn’t matter what the genre or if it’s dark or light story.

This cover is sexy AF. The woman’s face is just darn gorgeous and whoooo…. that man… he is smoking’!! What’s even better is it isn’t just on the outside. The inside of Negotiated is just as sexy… just as hot! I mean, Scarlett is fantastic! I’m not sure if it’s because I just finished an audiobook about a girl that was a serious doormat or what but Scarlett was strong and fierce. She was take no prisoner and I NEEDED her to be that. I just loved that attitude that she excluded… thank you!!! I love seeing strong women that aren’t ashamed to be themselves.
 

Anyway, Hudson was also seriously dominant! He was a total alpha but didn’t quite cross too far over into that jerk area and I, oh so very appreciate that! Scarlett has met her match in strength in Hudson… I mean what a battle they were.  Negotiated felt a bit more rounded than the other books in this series. I felt the friendships more and really loved that. You can feel and see them leaning on each other.
