EXCERPT

Prologue

Kenzi one day old

Toren fifteen years old

“We want you to be her Godfather,” Asher says as he gently lays his newborn baby into my arms. I have to tear my gaze away from her spellbinding eyes to look up at him from the chair I’m cradling the baby in.

“Me?” I repeat, glancing over at Ember in the hospital bed, who beams back at me with a tired, yet genuine smile.

“Yes, you,” they both say at the same time. “If it wasn’t for you, we probably never would have met,” Ember adds, grabbing Asher’s hand. “And we wouldn’t have this beautiful little baby. We know you’ll always protect her.”

“That’s right, man. You’re Uncle Tor now.”

I’m an uncle. And my two best friends are parents. And we’re all fuckin’ under sixteen.

But Kenzi Allyster Valentine would change us all forever. She needed us.

“Wow. I’m honored, guys. No doubt, I’ll always be here for her.”

I kick back the pang that hits my stomach. I didn’t get the girl…but I got something better that I never expected. A gift in the form of a little tiny hand wrapped tightly around my finger, huge eyes like gems staring up into mine like I was the most amazing person in the friggen’ world, and the first glimpse of what I could already tell was going to be a heart-stopping smile.

MY REVIEW

This book had just so much emotion! I could not decide which emotion I should feel, it was just all over the place. I loved absolutely every moment of the story. This is a story of love that grows and blossom's over time. 

I loved this story, it was completely perfect but they were real people with faults. I love it when people seem real, when it's like you could run into them out on the road. The writing was top notch. I wondered how this story would be, to be honest, I kept thinking... how can this be a good idea. I mean a man falls in love with his BF's daughter and she loves him back. But Cole made it anything but that. Cole really thought about the story. This was my first Cole book but I'm going to have to rectify that...immediately!!

As a graphic designer myself, I gotta add that the cover was gorgeous!!!! The cover was so thoughtfully done but so very sexy but classy at the same time. The colors were a great choice and her fonts were very playful and, again, sexy!!

Go Away Funny Glass

I Donut Care

 "I Donut Care" Funny Coffee Mug

 

This mug is an 11oz white ceramic mug. It is the perfect size for a leisurely cup of coffee, hot tea, or hot chocolate with a morning donut, of course. The writing "I Donut Care" is on both sides of the mug. The writing seems to be on well, so far, it has not scratched off at all. This mug is dishwasher safe.

I love the glassware by Got Me Tipsy. I love all the sayings they put on their glassware, each saying is clever and funny. They have multiple styles of glassware as well, coffee cups to wine glasses. I have a few different pieces from Got Me Tipsy and each one is great. I have also given some of their glassware as gifts and the recipients love them as well. Their glassware is not cheap thin glass that breaks easily. My daughter has dropped a mug of coffee and although we had to clean up a mess of coffee, the mug did not chip or break. Now, I'm not saying they won't break but they are strong enough to withstand daily use and maybe even an occasional tumble. I would totally recommend Got Me Tipsy, as a gift or for your own use!
