Book Blurb:

A second chance romance.

What happens when you fall for the boy next door?

Bea Norwood had the market on normal.

Drama free life? Check.

A single-mother who doubled as her confidant and partner in crime? Check.

A neighbor and best friend she trusted more than anyone? Check.

But that was until the day her mother remarried. The day that changed everything.

When her best friend's cousin, Liam Falcon, is sent to live with his aunt and uncle to clean up his act, Bea finds herself falling for the boy next door. With their hearts so infinitely entwined, Bea turns to Liam as her only escape from her new step-brother's daily torment at home. Bea thought their love could conquer anything. But she was wrong. Love was for fools, and she was the biggest fool of them all. When Liam left Lakeport, he took her heart with him, shattering the organ to pieces.

Six years later, Liam takes a trip back to Lakeport to visit his family, and to see HER.

His first love.

The girl who holds his heart.

The same girl who shattered it six years ago without looking back.

Liam is hell-bent on seeing Bea again after six years, but what he finds tears his heart in half. Bea Norwood is a shell of the girl he fell in love with. Underneath the baggy clothes, and pale skin, he knows she's still in there somewhere, he just needs to find her.

Liam will stop at nothing to win his girl back, but sometimes, ignorance is bliss, and Liam isn't prepared for Bea's truth.

I mean, WOW!!! S.M. Soto is knocking these books completely outta the park lately! Ache is insanely emotional! I just… I don’t even know what to say about this book. ACHE is thought-provoking and incredibly sad. I ACHED! Bea’s life was everything she wanted, until it wasn’t. This book shows you exactly what CAN happen when life changes. Sometimes it’s nothing… it’s a new boy in town, it’s a relative that spends the summer with his/her cousins, it’s your mom/dad remarrying. There are a million tiny and large things that can change your life, for the better and for the worse. Soto shows us the bad side. The bad side hurt my heart… a lot! I think I’m going to stop here but I’d say if you have abuse triggers than you should either skip this one or go in super slowly and be aware you are walking into a ton of heartACHE!!

I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.

Trailer

Excerpt

Her hands are trying to grasp me to roll me over again and get her on top, but I’m not letting her get close. Instead, I pin her to the floor and fuck her even harder. She opens her legs even farther and moans when I take her nipple between my teeth and tug.

I know she likes what I do … but she can’t help always trying to be at the top.

It’s what we do.

Who we are.

Fighters.

Winners.

Conquerors.

And in each other, we’ve found our match.

Her hand reaches between her legs, and she furiously starts masturbating as I fuck her pussy raw. She’s so tight and wet that I lose control, and I close my eyes for just a second to enjoy the sensations.

Only to find me rolling around again and having her end up on top of me. She slams me down on the floor and holds my hand down harder as she swivels around on my cock. She brings her blood-soaked finger to my mouth and makes me suck on it. One of my hands is free, and I use it to flick her clit, making her moan out loud.

A few seconds later, her eyes roll into the back of her head, and I can feel her muscles tighten all around me. Wetness coats my cock, and I come undone.

Howling, I come inside her, my seed pulsing deep into her pussy, just like it should.

She holds my hand in place over her clit, as if to signify that it belongs there. That she’s not only mine, but that I’m also hers.

Breathing heavily, she slowly falls down on top of me, my cock still inside her. She rests her head on my chest, and I listen to her breaths as she listens to my heart. I pet her hair, which is still slick from blood and sweat, and I wonder if this is the best sex I’ve had in my entire life.

“Is it over now?” she mutters suddenly.

I smile as she lifts her head with a curious look on her face. “Yes, it is … and you won.”

 MY REVIEW

This title, cover, blurb, heck everything about this book pulled me in and made it so I could NOT pull away. These are the kind of love stories I love…. Something dirty and gritty!! I love it! I’m trying to figure out how to say this… but this book is like the Bachelor took a major hit of meth or some insane drug! Lol

These people do things you wouldn’t think would cross “normal” people’s minds. However, who truly know what one would do in a situation like this. Don’t ignore the trigger warning on this one… if you’re looking for warm, fuzzy love story… this is so NOT it! But if you are looking for something completely different that centers more on the love of power and/or control. This is it!! Plus, there’s gore and all kinds of… different sex from one-on-one to violent choking sex. So, ya get it… not for the sleight of heart!!

The only other book I have read of Clarissa Wild’s is “Ruin” so I guess I just didn’t see this one coming. These books are so completely different from each other! But I enjoyed them both. I like to read books that open my mind, give me new things, make me think or feel.

I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I will leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.

Sordid by Nikki Sloane

Title: Sordid

Author: Nikki Sloane

Genre: Dark Romance

Release Date: May 29, 2016

WARNING!!!! THIS IS A DARK READ....

DO NOT READ IF YOU ARE FAINT OF HEART!!!!

BLURP:
It took me years to find the courage to speak to Luka. He seemed exactly like me. Intelligent. Focused. Serious.

But he’s not the man I imagined.

His reality is cruel and dark. He traps me in his web, his power twisting tighter the more I struggle, until it’s hopeless. I can’t break free.

As he drags me unwillingly into his filthy world, I can’t ignore the terrifying idea circling my mind. What if I belong here with him?

MY REVIEW:
Who the hell would have thought this banned from Amazon… this dark romance book… could make me cry? Yes…it’s dark…Yes…there’s violence….Yes…there’s rape. But somehow, it doesn’t seem like it. I think this book really exploits the need we all have to be wanted to badly that your partner just can’t control himself. Most people want to be lost in sex, right? Maybe I’m crazy, lol, but I’ve always thought that losing control like that is incredibly sexy!

Now, let me say….this is a DARK book. If you can’t handle some intense shit…don’t read it!!! I mean, Amazon (thinks) they banned it for a reason. So if you want a book about long walks on the beach and a guy holding the door open for you, this is NOT it!

But, even after all the dark stuff, you find yourself intrigued and finding that you like that bad boy. You see some reasoning behind things and start to understand and open up more. It’s a pretty confusing book, if I do say so. I was nearly ashamed to be turned on by it but it is what it is. I enjoyed the book and I’m glad I read it!
