I feel as if I’ve been waiting on Mike’s story for years! I had to go back and look when the last book was published… it’s funny; it was only a few months. I missed this group of people though. I love the sense of family we get from it. Mike is the southernmost gentlemen and I fell from him during the first book in this series. 

I’ve really enjoyed the Southern Heart series. Kaylee Ryan wrote such a sweet innocent story. Her writing continues to be perfect and it just pulls me in! This book was a bit heavier on the drama than the other books but I can see that with a city girl!

She grasps my hand, and like an instant replay from dinner, her body slides down mine. The contact is somehow more intimate than it was earlier, making her cheeks turn a pretty shade of pink, only noticeable due to the moonlight peeking between the branches of the oak tree in her yard. 

"Okay, Cash." Her voice is nothing more than a rasp.

Slipping my hand from her waist and down over the curve of her hip, I hike her dress up and settle it on the smooth bare skin just under her ass, pulling her closer—closer—closer. Trailing my fingertips across her cheek and through her hair, I tug on it just a little, just like I’d imagined doing at the start of our night. 

Damn, she likes that. It's like I flipped a switch. She's no longer kissing me—she’s devouring me. 

I hoist her up, and she wraps her legs around my waist. The front door is the only thing keeping us upright. I press my hips into hers, showing her just how much I want her before pulling her hair again. She throws her head back, hitting it on the door with a loud thump. 

That breaks the spell. She lowers her legs and untangles herself from me, and I step back, unsure of what comes next. Is she going to ask me in or send me on my way?

What an amazing cover! It’s so classically beautiful! I knew when I saw it that I’d need to read this book! I’m so glad I took a chance on a new author. This book was just as beautiful at the cover! I love a good, sweet story that has tons of friends and family in it. You just FEEL it!

I can’t think of any other way to think of this book that saying it was just the essence of a southern romance! Cash was the most swoonable character ever! I mean, does he have any flaws? There’s just something about a good southern man that makes a smart woman weak in the knees! They all just portray southernness in all its glory! 

More than anything, I’m in shock that this was a debut novel. LK Farlow writes a great story. It pulls you in and just makes you feel good inside. It’s heart-warming. She gives us good, strong characters that we will want more from, I do, by the way, want more from all of them! We have sad pasts that we struggle to overcome. Plus that huge preggo belly on the cover… who doesn’t love a sweet, pregnancy book? I know I do!
