I feel as if I’ve been waiting on Mike’s story for years! I had to go back and look when the last book was published… it’s funny; it was only a few months. I missed this group of people though. I love the sense of family we get from it. Mike is the southernmost gentlemen and I fell from him during the first book in this series. 

I’ve really enjoyed the Southern Heart series. Kaylee Ryan wrote such a sweet innocent story. Her writing continues to be perfect and it just pulls me in! This book was a bit heavier on the drama than the other books but I can see that with a city girl!

MY REVIEW

Where does one find a guy like Aaron? Only in the south! There’s just something about a southern boy that’ll melt any girl!! Once I reached 32% into the book and Aaron talked about how his dad used to whisk him mom away, just 2 hours away, to be selfish, to be alone with her and have all over her attention… it made me miss the south and how wonderful the people are. You can’t get that anywhere!!

Good Gosh… it's happened… we have finally found the daddy of all book boyfriends. Aaron is the most swoonable guy EVER. If you don't spend this whole book begging for Whitney to disappear and Aaron to materialize in front of you… Well you ain't right! Lol And I like Whitney, a lot, but I think I might be claiming her man!

Southern Desire was such a sweet read but it also is about loved loss. It’s about how people get over, or learn to live again, without some super important people in their lives. It’s about how we handle major life problems both directly and indirectly. But what I really took from this book is the pace of it. It is so very southern… you couldn’t go any slower unless you were going backwards!! This book was more than hot, sex in word form that a lot of romance books have. This book made you FEEL LOVE! I enjoyed going the slow pace and loving the characters. Now… I NEED Jaime and Mike… pretty please… or Olivia and David. I’m ok with either ;)
