So I don’t generally read paranormal… I’ve read a few but it’s generally not something I seek out. However, if Celia Aaron writes it… I’ll read it! She has a way of telling her story that makes it fascinating, no matter what the genre. I am seriously obsessed with the Greek mythological aspect in this story. I love the mix between past and present… but really time knows no bounds as centuries transcend between the past and present. The romance in this book… sigh… Mrs. Aaron pulled out the stops here. I’m not going into the storyline… I mean, it’s just something you have to experience yourself.

Everything in between these covers is unique and special. I really wish I could give this book an award for its creativity… for this completely uniqueness. The romance… perhaps because of the romance… that love that expands centuries… it feels so palpable… it pulses with heart, with heat. I’ve always had a thing for mythology… the creatures in it… the stories and people. Completely fascinating!

So this review is going to be super duper short and sweet. I don’t want to give away any spoilers and The Gathering is way to easy to let loose a spoiler without even realizing it! The romance in The Gathering was breathtaking. A timeless love that knows no bounds. It transcends through various lives, planes, times, and worlds. Ivy and Bain had this magnetic pull toward each other... it wasn’t possible to resist. They were meant.

The storyline is complete madness! There are things happening that are ummm... paranormal! Hahaha! While everything is a bit of a stretch... it all feels plausible. Perhaps it’s my imagination or, more than likely, it’s LA Fiore’s amazing writing. The way she created this story held me completely entranced... I’m not entirely certain she didn’t weave a spell into the pages. Magic, The Gathering is purely magical writing! A serious piece of art! Don’t walk away from this book because you don’t read paranormal books... open yourself up to a truly amazing read and a story unlike anything else written.
