Well, hot dog this book was HAWT! I love me a good sexy cowboy and this series has been nothing if not good and hawt! Pam Godwin has created a series that is compulsive and the best book of the series! Lorne has had a hard time of it… as has Raina. I love the way they work together to get through all the hard stuff. Lorne was so angry and… gruff. I loved it! It reminded me of my husband. I really love the rough exterior to a softie inside. It makes my heart dip! I was sooo happy to really get to know Raina. She reminded me of a dog who was kicked and beaten all the time but never lost his/her fire. She was resilient and strong!

Pam Godwin has found her true calling as a cowboy sexy man romance writer with a bit of suspense and a strong sense of family. The family relationships really pulled at me. This story seemed a bit deeper and sadder than the previous two but it touched me and was my favorite of the entire series! I’m so happy and content with this ending. That prologue made my heart sing and sign, again in total happiness. Ms. Godwin writes like a dream with so much description and heart. I cannot wait to see what we get next! I’m hoping for more romance, suspense, some angst… and so much heat that you need a fan!

Everytime she releases a new book in this series I think… “Oh, my new favorite dark romance.” So pretty much, if asked what my favorite dark romance is, it’s whatever Pam Godwin’s latest book release is! She ROCKS!!! Every new book in this series has been better than the last one. Devastate was off the charts amazing! I think I loved it so much because we got to catch up with all the previous characters!

Plus we FINALLY get Tate’s story! I love a good dark and moody male character. I adore, completely A-D-O-R-E how we will go the great length to find his best friends sister Lucia. It makes you wonder… did he go to these great lengths for his best friend Camilia or did he know, or have a feeling that Lucia was more than just his best friends sister. This book pulled at me. I honestly had no idea how Godwin was going to make any of this ok. I was a nervous wreck hoping Tate and Lucia could get what they deserve from life.

Pam Godwin continues to write stories that consume your mind. Stories that tug at your heart. Her writing was flawless. The storyline and plot was amazing. If I had to gripe about anything it would be that some of the secondary characters almost took over at some parts, they sometimes dominated the story.
