Book Blurb:

In a split-second, a car crash killed almost everything between them. Ten years later, can one accidental ride fix tattered spirits, uncertain futures, and broken hearts?
Lily Grantham has always done what she’s been told. The daughter of a senator, she grew up as the good girl of Fawn Hill, and carried that torch right on through to adulthood. Her only wild streak? Bowen Nash. She loved that boy since the day they laid eyes on each other, and it nearly ended them both. A decade later, and Lily still can’t move on. Even if Bowen has made it clear he doesn’t love her anymore.

Bowen Nash never wanted the life he’s trapped in. Destined for baseball fame and the love of his high-school sweetheart, that existence vanished in the flip of an old pickup. Now, he’s stuck in the town that produced his worst nightmare. Pretending to hate Lily Grantham guts him day in and day out. But to protect her from the ultimate secret, it’s necessary to break his own heart each time they pass on the street.

They’ve been fighting fate for as long as it’s been chasing them. And now, time is up.

Carrie Aarons has been impressing me for years now. One of her earlier duets, Captive Heart duet, has been my favorite books since she’s starting writing. I’ve read every single one of her books. The Nash brothers are blowing me away. I’m left wondering if I have a new series at the top! Bowen was everything I knew he was going to be and so much more! Forgiven is an incredibly emotional story that tugged at my heart and made it impossible to read without tears!

Bowen irked me so much during Fleeting. However, I knew he was going to be deep and there was so much more than meets the eye. Really, he was an amazing character that was really trying to do what he thought was best. Generally, when a man is doing that, he’s getting in this own way. That was Bowen to a T. He was frustrating and cold. Lily struggled with her “Good Girl” persona most of her life. All she really wanted was to be with Bowen. She seemed so lost since that night in high school changed her life.

Mrs. Aarons is a masterful storyteller. Her words build this picture in your mind. She connects you to her characters effortlessly! If you haven’t read Carrie Aarons previously, I definitely suggest you start now, her writing is fun and uplifting, she gives us that drama we all love but it always seems appropriate for the book. More so, we get this deep and beautiful relationship at the heart. We get two people that are just trying to find their way through life.

I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.

Book Blurb:

Presley McDaniel lives her life from moment to moment.

Making permanent decisions means obligation, and that would force her to stop being the family disappointment. Waitress, fitness instructor, dog walker … you name the hourly job and she’s probably held the position.

But when her grandmother can no longer run her book shop in Fawn Hill, a town so small it barely has its own zip code, Presley steps up to help.

The move from bustling city to green pastures may be exactly what she needs to sort out her life. But she didn’t ask for that happy ending to include a gorgeous veterinarian with an all-American smile and a penchant for snuggling puppies. The good doctor is reliable, responsible, and just the kind of man Presley has always avoided.

Love and commitment are predictable.

So why, the moment she lays eyes on him, are they all she wants?

Keaton Nash has never questioned his steady path.

His brothers may tease him about settling into his father’s passed-down role of small town veterinarian, but Keaton has never minded his rural roots. And after tragedy struck two years ago, he has a duty as the eldest Nash man to look after his family.

What he doesn’t need is the sexy, flighty stranger who shows up in town and gets his broken heart beating again. Presley McDaniel is a distraction, a red-headed temptation that is the definition of a bad idea.

He’s barely recovered from the love who left him to chase bigger dreams, and this woman is bound to do the same.

Except for the first time ever, he wants to abandon stability.

She makes him want to be reckless.

Carrie Aarons captures the complete essence of small town living in the first chapter.
From there it just gets better and better. I had a bit of a time keeping track of all the
Nash men and who was who, who did what. However, the more the book went on the
more Carrie gave them all really personalized personalities and the tiniest hints at
their demons. I adored Presley. I found her charming and sweet with this surprising
humorous side to her. While I might have had an instant attraction to them both,
Presley fought her attraction a bit. But the ever present and dashing vet, Keaton,
was persistent. Although, I do think sibling rivalry did add a bit of a kick to his
booty for the more aggressive stance he tried. So what I’m saying is these two
characters are great! I loved the secondary characters nearly as much!
Presley’s grandmother is quite the character! I enjoy her banter.

So it’s no secret, I love me some Carrie Aarons novels.
She has this fresh feel to all her books.
She always has this unique spin on every story she creates.
Book after book she pulls me in with her constant ability to be different.
Aarons writes her stories with such creativity and a real singularity
to every character. I was totally smitten with Chance and that opening scene!!
After getting a small bite of every Nash man, I am fully invested in this family
and cannot wait to see where Carrie Aarons takes he rest of these stories.

One of my favorite things about the way Carrie Aarons writes is the
variety in her stories. No genre or book is ever the same for her.
Fleeting has this really slow build up... it starts so easy with a nice southern charm to it.
Don’t let it lull you in... Fleeting packs a whole lotta punch!!

I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion.
I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise,
