“Has it ever occurred to you that maybe, just maybe, if you thought it through, there might be a completely different angle on every part of this mess? That maybe I’m telling the truth?” I taunt him. That’s how this feels–like nothing but a nasty game. The push-pull of wanting him to treat me like a human being and wanting to lash out and hurt him is infuriating, but it is better than sitting here and taking his negativity like a passive little doormat.

“Of course I have.”

“And you’ve rejected that. Completely.”

“Yes.”

“Then you’re really bad at your job, Silas,” I say, letting all the bitterness and contempt come through my voice.

“You’ve wounded me, Jane.” Turns out he can do contempt, too. Better than I can.

It's just so naughty and HOT!! This is a super quick read, I was done in a few hours. It sure packs a heck of a punch in just a few hours. There are some seriously laugh out loud moments, they caught me off guard and made me seriously belly laugh! But for every funny moment, there were 4 steamy, naughty bits that made you cross your legs a bit tighter. Darn Jett and his sex appeal! I'm not usually a big novella reader but seeing that this is going to be a mini series I was intrigued. This is also totally an insta-love meets dirty talking alpha male book. I flew through the whole book. Now... Tom, Tom... I hope he chokes on a dick! You never know, he just might ;) I completely loved the ending! I kind of hope the mini series people are friends of Natalie and Jett so we get small little updates. LK Collins has some great writing skills! I mean, how else can you pack so much into a novella? I can't wait to see more from this series and from LK!! I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I will leave an Unbiased Opinion.
