I’ve read so many LK Collins books that I usually do in expecting a TON of hot and dirty sex and a small storyline. Well, don’t worry! There is still a TON of that hot and dirty sex but the Perfect Bastard has much more of a storyline then I’m used to with LK Collins! I enjoyed it, to be honest. I get a little burnt out just reading sex scenes so this was a nice surprise! You’d also expect a perfect bastard with that as the title but there was a heartwarming piece to this book. It really made it a surprising read for me!

I also have a thing for single father stories… and Roan has 2 children… and not just children but a preteen daughter and teenage daughter (poor guy)! I also really enjoy siblings’ best friends’ story and that’s what we get here! A ton of genre mash ups! This seemed like a short novel… I could have handled a bit more of an ending. I think the ending could have been a TON better with some additional info, it seemed rush. It sounds like we’ll be getting a Chandler book too so maybe we’ll get some updates but I really just wanted to feel more of a finality or an ending with this book.

I ended up reading every single one of these small little teasers into some of my favorite authors lives… how FUNNY are they! Oh man, kids put us through so much. While this book gives you a brief glimpse at how hard parenting can be, you also get this brief look at how darn amazing it is!! I laughed so hard I peed a little… I totally blame that on my kid!

A few of my favorites were I Win by Dylan Allen, What’s That Smell by Shari Ryan, Your Mom Does What? By Faith Andrews, Road Trip by LK Collins, Sweary Mom by Carina Adams, and Winging It by Marie James. They are an absolute riot!! If you can’t read them all, which you just HAVE to, read at least those ones!

Woah… sometimes I need to sit on a book after reading for a few days and really process what just happened. This book demands that you look at your life and see, really see. This really reminds you of everything you have to loose in life. Life waits for no one and what will be, will be. Hold who you love close while you can. Some books touch you closer than others… this is one of those books. It wiggled its way right into my heart and thoughts and has stayed there for days!!

This book reminded me somewhat of “3 Breaths” as in it really makes you reevaluate things in your life. Life changes as quickly as we breathe. Love helps you through some of the hardest things we have to face. Be sure to grab a box of Kleenexes when you crack this bad boy open… it’s nearly guaranteed that you’ll cry. For me, this hit super closely to my heart. Faye is an outstanding woman and most should take note on how to act from her! I just can’t go more into this book without telling you stuff and this is a book you need to feel for yourself!!
