Wow, I finished this last night and I still don't know what to really say. I found myself sympathizing with a person that I never expected to feel for. I'm not sure if anyone can read this book and not feel for Curtis. If you aren't left with an aching heart, well you are stronger than I.

I have never felt like two wrongs make or right. I can't even make myself say "but" here even though I do feel it. Curtis's response to the bullying by every single person in his life is incomprehensible. The abuse Curtis lived through is inexcusable. As a society, we need to fix the way we treat each other.

CM Radcliff wrote a story that is so timely that is hurts. Who knew life would come to this. That people could be so cruel, so callous. Radcliff has written a story so moving that it makes me almost understand. I mean, how much can one person take before they break? It has to be even less for a teenager.

Caution: This is not a romance. There is no happy ending.

What a great read! This is a Young Adult book, which is not my normal genre, but I’m open to read anything as long as it’s good. This book had everything, and I mean everything you want in a book!!! I adored that it was lacking in sex scenes!! I, personally, don’t need the sex to enjoy a book. I want sustenance and this book has it! I cried (several times), I laughed, I sighed, I cringed, I sniffled… but I just loved all of MA Foster’s words!

Now when I say this book has everything… it does… we have the total bad ass rock legend everyone wants to be, death, adultery, abusive relationships, catty teenage girls, girl fights, love, sweet words, happiness, trust, learning to live again, learning to trust again, growing up, following dreams, making new dreams… there’s just everything! I think there might have been more drama from the adults than the teenagers though, and that made me laugh really hard!

This is really a coming of age book. Some of the characters were extremely relatable. I could have seen my teenage self enjoying them. The two main characters, Jaybird and Zach, were fantastic. Zach was a really sweet guy. This book is definitely about Jaybird though. Even though Jaybird is the daughter of this huge rock star she isn’t full of herself and self-absorbed. I really am thankful for that. Lexi is the comic relief that was so needed and I was completely smitten with her!

I really wasn’t ready for this series to end! I am so happy with the ending but I so sad that I’m not going to get another book, that this is the end of Jude and Tor and everyone! Jude was total kick butt in War! I mean, he was out for war and wasn’t taking any prisoners! He wanted BLOOD! Nothin, and I mean nothing is stopping him from his revenge! Honestly, I wonder what I would be like in his situation. I think I’d want revenge too. I’m just not sure I would have it in me to go after it like him!

If you’ve read the previous three books… Wrong (book 1), Wrath (book 2), Wire (book 3), than you know what Stevie Cole and LP Lovell have given us with this series. Plus… look at those titles, you know you are going to get some bad assery happening! The whole series, but especially War, is filled with vengeance and death. This book made my heart physically hurt for Jude. I wanted him to get his revenge, I wanted him to feel the blood oozing from his fingers… he deserved it after losing everything. This series, this book… is a MUST read if you love darker books that seek vengeance!
