THE BRAWL
by Devney Perry writing as
Willa Nash
Except Calamity’s sweetheart has sworn off men. The last time Ronan was rejected was, well . . . never. Yet Larke dismisses him without even batting those pretty brown eyes.
Bruised ego in check, he’s about to walk away when a teenager marches into his office and asks to hire Ronan as her lawyer. Something about a bad grade and a ruined grade point average that will inevitably destroy her future. He’s about to lecture the kid for being melodramatic until he learns that the teacher she wants to sue is Larke.
Suddenly this frivolous lawsuit seems like a bright idea. Ronan wants Larke’s attention and this is guaranteed to snag it. So let the brawl begin.

I DEVOURED The Brawl by Willa Nash (Devney Perry) maybe a bit more than her other books. I was really excited for Larke's story. I was so eager for this book that I was stalking the Perry/Nash blogger page. Once it hit my device my other books got pushed to the wayside and I jumped feet first back into Calamity, Montana. Now, Ronan is new in town. He's the new lawyer that's moved to Calamity for a slower pace and a new start. He sees Larke walking down Main Steet and immediately is attracted and has to talk to her. After his failed attempt at winning her over he sets out to do just that.
However, when a girl from Larke's class marches into Ronan's office dead set on suing her teacher. Larke gave her a grade that brought her entire GPA down. This all spiraled things for the girl. This worried Ronan and he took the case. Eventually, Larke is curious about this student too... after she gets over her initial embarrassment. Ronan and Larke are brought together over their common goal.
I really enjoyed the push and pull between Larke and Ronan. I loved Ronan's immediate attraction for Larke. He hust couldn't help himself, he had to know Larke. Larke was not interested, or so she said, she didn't want to be interested. She was determined to avoid him. I liked her strong denial. Wren was adorable. She added some extra cuteness and humor that was definitely needed. As always, Nash's/Perry's secondary characters were a hoot. They brought a much needed lightness to the story. Now this wouldn't be a Nash/Perry without the flying sparks that eventually spread into a deep and strong inferno. I really enjoyed this storyline and the characters. Nash's/Perry's story was a fantastic mix of light and hardy, fun and serious, sweet and sexy, heart-warming and heart-tugging. Another fabulous visit to Calamity, Montana!
