Release Date: March 17
Buried secrets never stay hidden in the South.
Kallie
I fell in love with him when I was seven. I scraped my knee, and he helped carry me inside.
Our love story was the talk of the town until a woman told everyone she was pregnant with his baby. The only rational solution was to high tail it out of town and never come back.
My best friend needed a place to hide, and you can’t get much more covert than my family farm, so I came back. For her. It was supposed to be temporary, and I wasn’t supposed to see him, but that’s what happens when you live in a small town where everyone knows each other.
Jacob
Being the sheriff in a small town was never my dream. My father died and my older brother took off, so I had to be the one to look after my mother. I stayed. I fulfilled my duties as a son and I protected my hometown.
My life wasn’t perfect, but I was content. Until I locked eyes with a ghost from my past, Kallie. I thought it was my imagination, it couldn’t be. I loved her most of my life, but now I hated her.
The town gossip mill was going into overdrive. I kept my head down and my mind off of the woman who shattered my heart when she ran away. She didn’t give me a chance to explain, it didn’t matter to her then. I didn’t matter.
A second chance is never promised, but now that mine is right under my nose, I’m not sure I can take it.

Every since Natasha Madison's Heaven and Hell duet I've been
obsessed her books. It was her first series that made my heart catch in my
throat and my pulse rate accelerate. A couple of years ago she released her
Love series and again, it had those same feelings. Now, here she's started her
next series off with Southern Chance and it has started off like a rocket!! I
can't help but feel for Kallie. Jacob is a fine young man butttt... man, he
stepped in huge pile of dookie and Kallie couldn't handle the smell... I don't
blame her at all!
This was the perfect timing for me... ok, I'm always in the mood for a good southern drama and a Natasha Madison story. Southern Chance is a fabulous angsty story that delves into secrets and lies, running from our problems, and just general bad decisions from everyone all around the table. Kallie and Jacob both made choices that put their entire lives on a out-of-control spiral. Neither are currently living the lives they planned. But when Kallie strikes out to help a friend, she returns home and finally comes face-to-face with the past that shes run from for so long.
Let me just say, Mrs. Madison kills this story! The feel of family and of love is felt throughout. The characters she builds up and creates is what sets her novels above others in the same drama. It kind of gave me that Sweet Home Alabama feel... no the situation isn't the same but I love the movie and I could envision Reese Witherspoon as Kallie. Anyways, this has all the feels and then some. We feel a simmering anger in Jacob and the betrayal in Kallie and I'm over here just HATING Samantha... yeah, yeah... she was a kid too but I think she's a bit conniving and I'm unsure about my complete feelings on her. Ohhhh... I can't be the only one seriously chomping at the bit for Casey and Olivia's story. It's like Casey was struck by love lightning and I can't wait to see how it all plays out!!
I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.

Meet Natasha Madison
When her nose isn't buried in a book, or her fingers flying across a keyboard writing, she's in the kitchen creating gourmet meals. You can find her, in four inch heels no less, in the car chauffeuring kids, or possibly with her husband scheduling his business trips. It's a good thing her characters do what she says, because even her Labrador doesn't listen to her...
