I can’t even… The Other Blue Sky was riveting! The words that Shari Ryan wrote embedded their way into my heart. So, yes, this is a standalone and yes you could read it that way… don’t, don’t read The Other Blue Sky without reading the Last Words. You will lose a bit of the impact and this book, these books are impactful. TOBS is light on the romance section but it’s HUGE in the emotions. This is a story that makes you think and feel every variation of feeling that you can think and feel.

Ms. Ryan is poetic in the way her story flows from her finger tips. She writes something that opens your mind in a way most books don’t. I’ll be honest; reading about the Holocaust is pretty brutal. While that is totally true, this is an empowering story that breaks your heart while it lifts it up. A story of always feeling lost… of not knowing your place in life… of wondering what your past is like. A fantastic read that will affect you!
