Every Soul (Every Soul #1)
by LK Collins
Synopsis
When you lose the
one person who grounds your existence, your whole world changes.
In life, it is said that
everything happens for a reason. If that’s true, how can you explain death?
Especially when it happens to someone so young, so beautiful, and so innocent? My
name is Bain Adams, and I struggle with these thoughts every day. I’ve been
through hell and back, somehow surviving the unimaginable. My sister took her
life six months ago, and now, what’s left is a shell of the man I once was, a
shadow of the person I used to be. Do I miss that life? Absolutely. But I miss her more, every day. I pray time will
ease the pain and help my suffering while I search for the answers…but so far,
nothing.
Happiness is something I knew so
long ago, and now it’s nothing but a faint, distant recollection of the life I
once had. My name is Arion LaSalle, and seven months ago my life was shredded
to pieces when my fiancé disappeared while deployed. He never came home,
burning a hindrance of pain and agony within my soul. For so long, I lived my
life believing everything happens for a reason, until now. ‘Cause none of it
makes any sense. Why Nate? Why only him? Since getting through each breath is a
struggle, I put on a fake persona, pretending I’m someone I’m not, living my
life recklessly. Because for me, it was all taken far too soon.

MY REVIEW
This is a powerful and moving book. This shows you the
struggle people suffer when they are left with choices others make that they
have no control over. This book goes over that struggle and it’s moving. Yes, it’s
a sad, deep, and somewhat depressing book but the book itself, totally redeems
it.
I'm not going to get into the plot of the
book because that will just ruin it for other readers, and if you want to know
what the story is about then just read the synopsis. You don’t need my review
to tell you what the book is about.
So even though this is a deeper book than the
other books I have read from this author. It is told in 3 points of views,
Bain, Arion, and Kinsey (Bain's sister). I really enjoyed Kinsey’s POV leading
up to her demise.
Bain and Arion build a friendship that
includes some… benefits with no string attached. They tell each other more than
they have shared with others; they end up leaning on each other and helping
each other. They really end up being like therapy to each other.
I received an ARC of this
book with the hope that I will leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to
leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my
opinions.
Every Heart (Every Soul #2)
by LK Collins
Synopsis
Love
hurts.
Life hurts.
But without the pain, there is no bliss.
I found bliss.
Then it was all taken away.
And though it hurt like hell to move on, I had to.
I learned to love again only because of Bain.
I found my bliss again.
Then in a split second, everything was put into jeopardy.
My world crashed down around me and this time I was faced with the hardest decision of my life, a decision I never dreamt of making.
A choice that seemed impossible.
With no good outcome.
That would hurt everyone I loved no matter what I did.
I didn’t want to make it. I couldn’t choose between my two loves.
So I fought the decision with everything I had, avoiding it until…
I was forced to decide.

MY REVIEW
Gahhhh… my heart just couldn’t take this book! There
was so much FEELS and it was just so intense!! I cried throughout this book.
Life can be so unfair sometimes and this book shows it perfectly!
This was a hard book… I’m trying to figure out how to
review it without giving away key parts. It’s difficult. I can tell you; this
book will pull your heart strings. I really thought Arion was super grown up in
this book and for as much heattache as she’s went through… she was strong.
However, Bain is just an awesome guy that you want to
route for him. But… you also want to route for something else (haha very
mysterious). It’s a book that you just don’t know which way to go or what to
decide. You might just find yourself stamping your feet about how unfair life is!!
I received an ARC of this
book with the hope that I will leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to

Post – Living in the after, the events
that took place over a year ago are etched in my brain. Haunting me in the
worst ways imaginable.
Traumatic – Physical and psychological
scars have me so wounded that I can’t get through a day without my mind
swirling with constant fucked up images.
Stress – Anxiety. Panic. Rage. I’m not
myself and the pain I fight through each day has made me make some really bad
decisions.
Disorder – Out of control. Not fucking
normal. Nowhere even close.
I say fuck Post-Traumatic Stress
Disorder.
The life I left behind is gone and
everything I’d hoped to return to has been stolen away, all while I was being
beaten, starved, and tortured. But being Nate Wilcox, I pick my ass up, ‘cause
I’m a fucking survivor. Even if my methods are totally fucked up, it’s all I
can do to keep the pain at bay.

MY REVIEW
I was so excited to follow up with Nate! I felt so bad for him. I mean… he fought for our country and had one of the scariest things happen to him. Then he lost everything… just completely broken.
While everything is falling apart for Nate… in this
book, he gets his chance to go for a new life. Make a life… get a job, get a
girl that can heal and love. It was so hard to read his story after routing for
the previous books. It’s heartbreaking. He’s so reckless and just doesn’t care
about anything or anyone. The PTSD was fascinating to read about “first hand.”
He was lucky though, he still had a few things in his life that kept him from
suffocating.
Meeting Elania could change everything around… for
them both. They are both a little iffy on each other. Elania finds herself
falling harder and harder. But they almost remind each other of what they have
to lose. This was a painful book to read.
At the end… I wasn’t sure if I completely loved this
story and was enthralled with LK Collins’s evil mind or if I completely hated
every minute of it, lol, in a good way that is!! This and the other two books
are written superbly and with utter perfection. They all deserve so much more!!
I received an ARC of this book with the
hope that I will leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a
review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.
