BLOG TOUR: The Roommate Agreement by Emma Hart

banner-1.jpg

Let your homeless best friend stay with you, he said. Being roommates will be fun, he said. It's only temporary, he said.

He never said I'd fall for him.

The Roommate Agreement, all-new hilarious and romantic comedy from New York Times bestselling author Emma Hart is available now!

ROOMMATEAGREEMENT-coverdraft1

You know what isn't 'temporary?'
The endless stream of dirty socks in my bathroom and empty food packets under the sofa—and don't even get me started on the hot guys who take over my living room every Sunday to watch sports.
I can't take anymore.
So I propose a roommate agreement. One that will bring peace and order back to my life, complete with rules that might just stop my newfound crush on my best friend in its tracks.
After all, there’s only so many times you can see your best friend naked before you start to lose your mind.
Rules. They're meant to be broken... Aren't they?

I tell ya, I have a slight addiction to Emma Hart. She has this non-stop humor that I just can't get enough of. But she also tells us a great story. Hart's characters are always captivating... fun and real. Even though they are usually off the wall funny and their antics are a bit outlandish... like would real (read: sane) people do this? Most the time it's an ehhhh... then I think there are some people out there that are a bit bonkers so there's a chance. So ya get it... Emma Hart is a HOOT! I spend 80% of her books laughing till I cry.

The other 20% is usually split between those sexy scenes and feeling the room grown hot and these occasionally sweet and real moments that make me sigh and swoon. I might always grab an Emma Hart book for her humor that sticks with me from book to book. I'm generally pleasantly surprised over and over again to feel so much heart and friendship in her words.

The characters in The Roommate Agreement are the best. Hart gives us some incredibly relatable moments... I mean, is there a man out there that can actually get ALL his dirty laundry in the basket? I love how Emma portrays so many typical issues between the sexes in a quirky way... in true Emma Hart fashion! I saw so much of myself in Shelby and just about all men in Jay.

I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.

Excerpt:

Shelby shut the door with a click and peered over at me. “What are you writing? If it’s permission to use the feather duster as a sex toy, the answer is no. Unless you buy your own, but if you haven’t figured out where the laundry room is yet, I doubt you’ll find where to buy one.”

She was as funny as a car crash, this one.

“Hilarious,” I drawled. “No, I’m making amendments as I go. I added a new rule.”

“You added a new rule?” She raised one dark eyebrow and walked over, hovering over me. “All right, what is it?”

“Decent clothes must be worn. Do you know how many times I wake up early on a morning to open the gym and find you basically in your underwear in the kitchen?”

“Basically in my underwear? Who are you seeing in the kitchen? I wear shorts and a tank top at the very least.”

“Yes, but the shorts barely cover your ass, and you’re sure as hell not wearing a bra.”

She paused, eyes glittering as she said, “And why are you looking at my ass and my boobs?”

That was an excellent question.

“Because there’s nowhere else to look!” I rushed out before my stupid cock could get any ideas. “Look, waking up in the morning can be challenging for a guy.”

She stared at me.

“I don’t need to get up for a coffee with… you know.” I motioned to my groin. “And see you half-clothed.”

She flicked her hair over her shoulder and walked to the kitchen, turning her back to me. “Why does it matter? I’m your best friend. I hardly think your little friend is remotely interested in whether or not I’m wearing a bra.”

Yeah, well, he is.

“Fine. If I have to wake up and see your perky nipples prancing around the kitchen, I’m going to stroll around in my underwear so you can get a good view of my morning glory.”

She spun, lifting up a finger. Her cheeks were flushed, and she had to swallow before she could speak. “My nipples do not prance. They are not horses.”

I grinned.

“Also, I have no desire to have anything to do with your morning erection, much less get a good view of it, thank you very much.”

“Have I told you that you’re cute when you blush?”

“Have I told you that you’d be a cute dead guy?”

I laughed, leaning back on the sofa. “C’mon, Shelbs. We need to respect each other’s privacy. You don’t want to see my cock hard over your breakfast, and I don’t want to see your nipples standing to attention when I make a coffee.”

She sighed. “Why did I ever let you move in again?”

“Because I was going to be homeless and you’re the best friend ever?”

“Mm.”

RELEASE DAY: Only Love by Melanie Harlow

ONLY LOVE RB BANNER.jpg

Heartfelt, beautiful and sexy!"
- Lauren Blakely, #1 New York Times bestselling author

Only Love, an all-new sexy standalone romance from USA Today bestselling author Melanie Harlow is available now!

Only Love AMAZON.jpg

A gorgeous former Marine with a tortured soul.
The beautiful, compassionate therapist living next door.
A meddlesome grandma determined to get them together.
I was expecting a proposal on my birthday, and I got dumped instead.
How could I have been so clueless?
Grams knew exactly how to distract me.
The “cute boy next door” who’s been helping her with yard work clearly needs a little therapy. Who better to call than her newly single therapist granddaughter?
She even fakes dementia to get me to visit, and now that I’m here she’s doing everything in her power to throw us together.
Not that I’m complaining. Ryan is the sexiest man I’ve ever met--I mean the full package, from the chiseled jaw to the massive shoulders to the rippling abs. (And yes, his package is full, and he knows exactly how to deliver it.) He makes me want to get out of my head and follow my heart. He makes me want to take chances I never thought I’d take.
He also makes me want to take my clothes off. A lot.
But he’s moody and challenging--one minute he’s an open book, and the next he’s completely closed off. He holds me like he’ll never let go, but insists he wants to be alone.
Some wounds are so deep, only love can heal them.
How can I convince him to let me try?

I was so thrilled to get Stella’s story! Out of all the sisters, she’s the one I’ve been the most intrigued by. Being a psychologist and hearing about her relationships through her sister’s previous books has been really interesting. I feel like Melanie Harlow has been teasing me with this story for months and months! I’ll just add that it was totally worth it! Stella and Ryan could not have been more opposite and completely perfect for each other. The start of Only Love made my jaw hit the ground!

I have to say that one of my favorite characters in the entire book was Grams. She was this naughty woman with old-fashioned views that was seriously endearing and a perfect Grams! Ryan was a complete jerk but a tortured jerk with a huge hidden heart. You just gotta chip your way through his tough exterior. Stella’s the perfect woman to break through. She doesn’t bruise super easy and she’s made of a tougher exterior herself.

Melanie Harlow’s told a sweet and sexy story. There was so much passion between these two. The writing is flawless and was told perfectly. Harlow pulls you in and keeps you captivated from beginning to end! I just adore the sweetness she added in here. The heat was great but the unexpected sweetness was adorable!

I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.

Piece of Work Staci Hart Publication Date: May 17, 2018 Genre: Romance

Marble isn’t the only thing that’s hard at this museum.

His body is as chiseled as Adonis. His lips are as sculpted as David. And his ego is the size of the Guggenheim.

You know the type—wolfish smile and the gravity of a black hole. The kind of man who sucks all the air from the room the second he enters it. My cocky boss thinks this internship was wasted on me, and he doesn’t hesitate to let me know.

But he’s wrong, and I’m going to prove it to him. If I can stay away from his devil lips, that is. Lips that cut me down and kiss me in the same breath, leaving me certain he’s on a mission to ruin my life.

And maybe my heart, too.

You can grab your copy of Piece of Work today on Amazon!

Piece of Work by Staci Hart was so flippin good! It’s everything I love in a good romance book. I love how she can write anything, any genre and not only is it a good book it is amazing! Ms. Hart is a good author to turn to when you’re feeling yourself slide into that book funk area. So, like I said… Ms. Hart can write anything and man, did she pack it into Piece of Word! We have a work place romance that was a bit RomCom and a bit Contemporary. It was just so sweet, so darn sexy.

The characters in this book were so adorable! I totally fell for Rin! She was just so shy and really cute about it. I couldn’t get enough of Piece of Work and read it within 24 hours. I couldn’t get enough of the humor mixed in with more tension and angst than Staci Hart usually gives us. I was seriously tickled with this story! Court was the PERFECT man in this story. The perfect man to bring Rin out of her shell, I feel like I could go on and on and gush but what you need to do is go one-click this bad boy and enjoy the heck out of it yourself!

I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.

Staci has been a lot of things up to this point in her life -- a graphic designer, an entrepreneur, a seamstress, a clothing and handbag designer, a waitress. Can't forget that. She's also been a mom, with three little girls who are sure to grow up to break a number of hearts. She's been a wife, though she's certainly not the cleanest, or the best cook. She's also super, duper fun at a party, especially if she's been drinking whiskey. When she's not writing, she's reading, sleeping, gaming, or designing graphics.
