BLOG TOUR: The Blood that Drives Us by M.N. Forgy

The Blood That DrivesUs, an all-new Dark MC Romance by M.N. Forgy is AVAILABLE NOW!

Zane has learned everything he knows from his father, the most dangerous biker of The Devil’s Dust MC. He devours the darkness with a cocky grin and no fucks to give. His immoral obsessions barely keep him content in a life of chaos and havoc until he finds himself craving more.
Addie doesn’t need the risk that comes with Zane... that is until her perfectly orchestrated life takes a sudden turn and she’s left with nowhere else to go.
She's sunshine and charities, he’s bullets and ecstasy. Will he step out of his hell and into her bed knowing it’ll mean that he’s dragging her into the depths of his criminal world?

First, am I the only one that wishes Amazon and Goodreads would get with the time and allow us to rate half stars? I can’t be! So The Blood That Drives Us is more of a 4.5 star rating for me. It didn’t quite squeak up to the full 5 stars but I felt 4 stars was too low for this killer of a book… hence, I want half star ratings please! I love the darkly deliciously and coldly erotic words that M.N. Forgy writes! I read her books and wait as patiently as possible and then listen to the audiobooks. These audiobooks add another level of dimension to her stories… the characters feel real for me. I love these books about the second generation from the couple’s from the Devil’s Dust MC series. For TBTDU we have Shadow and Dani’s son, Zane; Addie is Doc and Bobby’s daughter. They are forbidden to have anything except a friendship according to club rules. But you know what they say… rules are made to be broken!

And break the rules they do. Zane tries to fight what he feels for a while but he can’t fight the pull towards Addie. Addie has no intentions of even trying to fight it. She’s been in love with Zane for years and has just been waiting for him to come around. I am seriously obsessed with the way Zane thinks of Addie. She’s the light to his sunshine… she brings the happiness to his life. Addie feels so protected with Zane. They have a gorgeous relationship that’s been built over the years. It’s so strong and built on being there for each from the start especially when life has been hard. They both experienced something in their childhood that left them both a bit shaken and drawn to each other.

M.N. Forgy pulled out all the guns here. The characters are developed so thoroughly that you feel slightly scared (read turned the hell on) by Zane. He’s so ferocious especially where Addie is concerned. I knew I was going to get a story that felt full-on action and left me feeling winded but what I didn’t see coming was the feels in this story. It was way more emotional than I expected. As a reader, you just feel so invested in these characters and their lives that you care about what’s happening next more than you probably should. I loved getting reacquainted with characters from previous books too! It’s always such a great to go back to other books and people.

I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.

About M.N. Forgy

M.N. Forgy was raised in Missouri where she still lives with her family. She's a soccer mom by day and a saucy writer by night. M.N. Forgy started writing at a young age but never took it seriously until years later, as a stay-at-home mom, she opened her laptop and started writing again. As a role model for her children, she felt she couldn't live with the "what if" anymore and finally took a chance on her character's story. So, with her glass of wine in hand and a stray Barbie sharing her seat, she continues to create and please her fans.

TOUR: Chasing My Forever by Heidi McLaughlin

Title:  Chasing My Forever
Series: The Beaumont Series: Next Generation #3
Author: Heidi McLaughlin
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: October 9, 2018
Cover Design: Sarah Hansen at OkayCreations.
Photography: Mae I Design
Models: Alex Denning & Cherry Albrecht

Quinn is one of my favorite type of guys. He’s a bit reserved and shy but he doesn’t let people walk all over him. Eleanora is very similar to Quinn. Eleanora has lived a pretty simple life.... as long as she does what her parents wish. She’s ready to start living. When Nora and Quinn meet, they fall hard and fast. They are keeping secrets and hiding things from each other.

I’ve come to expect seriously swoonable stories from Heidi McLaughlin and this one doesn’t disappoint! McLaughlin brings out the angst and the heat, so much heat between Quinn and Nola. This story plays on the fears that most people have about pleasing ones parent and putting your dreams away. It’s about sacrifice. The Beaumont series just keeps getting better and better with each new story.

I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.

"Gah! You want this book! Need to know this story! All I can say is Yes!! Yes you need Quinn James in your life! Yes Heidi McLaughlin is continuing all the things I loved about her Beaumont Series into this Next Generation!!" -Amber, The Geekery Book Review

Music is his passion. It’s in his blood. Yet, Quinn James isn’t sure if stardom is right for him. His family wants him to join a band, and follow in his father’s footsteps but fear holds him back. He can’t explain it, and when he tries, no one understands what he’s afraid of or why he’s content playing coffee shop gigs where no one knows him.

Eleanora Boone wants to live her life, not the one her very southern parents planned for her, which is why she chose a college thousands of miles away. Now she’s faced with returning home or doing something that would defy her family. When an opportunity to visit Los Angeles falls in her lap, she uses it to become someone different.

California is everything Eleanora thought it would be, and even more so when she meets Quinn, the shy, reserved and brooding musician who’s the complete opposite of the guys she’s used to back home.

For the first time, Quinn’s smitten. The new, mysterious waitress has him wrapped around her finger, and he finds that he is finally able to open up and trust someone outside of his family circle.

But living a different life comes with its risks, and for Eleanora, that risk is a secret that has the power to destroy both of them.

“You should do it, El. My brother lives there,” Sofia adds. Her brother, right. For the past two years, she’s told me about her brother. In fact, she tells anyone who will listen. He’s famous or is going to be, yet refuses to tell us his name, but talks about him an awful lot. He goes by Q, according to her. It’s some artist name or whatever. The thing is, when you’ve lived with someone for two years, you meet their family. Granted, this is the first time she’s met my parents, but my brother and sister have come to visit, and she’s had the dubious honor of meeting Roy. The only person in Sofia’s family that we’ve met is her mom, Alicia. Never the brother, which is a shame because anytime him and Sofia are together in pictures, he looks super-hot, and way out of my league.
