Jackson but can you make me my own Ollie? I just found Ms. Jackson’s
books last year... I know, I know, but I immediately fell in love with
the way she creates her stories. I devoured every book I could find
since. I have to say this is one of my favorite emotional series... I
really need all three books on my book shelf. This group of characters
became my friends. I cared so much for them. Heck, I might have sobbed
for Ollie. Yup, Ms. Jackson cut me wide open with Lead Me Home. I knew
as I read the other books that Ollie and Nikki were going to make my
heart bleed but getting their story up-close and personal was an
emotional battle.
AL Jackson story put me through the ringer. This series seems like it has all lead up to this book... this moment… Ollie and Nikki have the full on BOOK. There was so much love... so much heartbreak... then you add in the broken people and the suspense and it was just a roller coaster of emotions. I felt like my heart was wrung out after this book. The writing itself was so poetic and the words just flow and it’s so beautiful that Jackson’s words captivate you and they just make your heart expand it and contract. Lead Me Home was an unforgettable story! It just has this unimaginable and undeniable love between two people. It was a stunning story and to read it felt like complete poetry.
I’ve always thought of the Fight for Me as an interconnected series of standalones... mouthful, right? What I mean by that is that each book can be read separately but I wouldn’t recommend going backwards. It has seemed like both, Show Me the Way and Follow Me Back, has led up to this book. Now, I loved both the other books so I’m not saying their stories aren’t important... they are and I loved them. But Lead Me Home felt like it all ramped up the emotions and increased in a climactic crescendo.
