Good Lord does Marie James know how to perfectly execute an MC book with a major Alpha with his sassy little side piece! I don’t want to disclose the ladies name as the blurb didn’t give it away and none of the teasers I’ve seen have given that detail. So I’m assuming we want a mystery here. I was pleased though. I wanted her story after reading a bit about her in Lawson. I was so surprised about who she is a person and so sad for her parents. It’s so fun when you really get to know the characters like we have with the Cerberus books, the generation one and now with generation two. I feel attached to them. I get mad at them. And man did I have some made feelings while reading Hound!

I hate going into storylines, so I’m not going too. However, James had my feelings and emotions flying all over the place. I felt a bit bipolar while reading Hound. I love the dual POV and man; Marie James made this book completely addictive! Hound is bossy and badass. Half the time I couldn’t stand the air he breathed and the other times I was fanning myself. It was a flawless execution! I loved watching the back and forth between this duo. They were hot! They were magnetic with a fierce pull towards each other. They were on fire!

I LOVE Marie James’s books! I have LOVED her Cerberus MC series. I cannot even explain how thrilled this second generation series has made me! It’s like getting to sit down for coffee and catching up with some of your besties! Being able to get snippets from the previous main characters made my heart sing! However, after reading Snatch a few months ago, I felt like I was left shocked with my mouth wide open catching flies. I mean, what a shock that Marie James left us with… I might hate her after that shocker if I didn’t love her damn stories so much!

So, in walks Lawson and his younger (and sweeter) brother Drew, how is it Lawson was born with all the tude and this humongous chip on this shoulder and Drew just got the sweetness? I guess that’s genetics for ya! Anyway, Lawson has never once questioned his mother’s story of his father and after learning it was a lie on Darby’s deathbed confession. He still doesn’t question the story he has been told. Lawson has always felt the weight of the world on his shoulders and it is accompanied by a massive chip. He wants answers. He travels to the Cerberus MC with his brother in tow to confront his DNA donor. I don’t want to get into the major storyline… everyone should be able to go through this beaut for the first time without spoilers.

Marie James continues to give us characters we love or characters we hate or even characters we just love to hate! Whatever she’s doing, it pulls emotions from her readers. This is a heart wrenching story about second chances, about growing up, about believing in yourself and your self worth. This series (Generation 1 and 2) are books that will connect you to this big group of amazing characters that have these huge hearts.
