Blurb:

Can you live a lie?

Itโ€™s a ghost town, this place that haunts me, the one that made me.

Itโ€™s clear to me that Iโ€™ll never outgrow Triple Falls or outlive the time I spent here.

I can still feel them all, my boys of summer.

Even when Iโ€™d sensed the danger, I gave in.

I didnโ€™t heed a single warning. I let my sickness, my love, both rule and ruin me. I played my part, eyes wide open, tempting fate until it delivered.

There was never going to be an escape.

All of us are to blame for what happened. All of us serving our own sentences. We were careless and reckless, thinking our youth made us indestructible, exempt from our sins, and it cost us all.

Iโ€™m done pretending I didnโ€™t leave the largest part of me between these hills and valleys, between the sea of trees that hold my secrets.

Itโ€™s the reason Iโ€™m back. To make peace with my fate.

And if I canโ€™t grieve enough to cure myself in my time here, Iโ€™ll remain sick. That will be my curse.

But itโ€™s time to confess, to myself more so than any other, that Iโ€™d hindered my chances because of the way I was built, and because of the men who built me.

At this point, I just want to make peace with who I am, no matter what ending I get.

Because I can no longer live a lie.

---------------

I'm really at a loss for how to review this intriguing and often convoluted duet. I know I loved every single word. I know that Kate Stewart just landed this duet on my Top 5 books of 2020. I know that the suspense and the steam kept me glued to the story. I know I finished this book the day I got it within hours... I ate it up like I hadn't eaten in decades. I waited days to write my review hoping I'd make some type of sense. I don't. I'm ok with that.  You don't want me to make sense. All you need from me is me urging you to read this duet. I don't generally push over talked about books... I've stayed away from Midnight Sun this week and there's several authors that I don't read because their "hype" doesn't live up to what I expect. The Ravenhood Duet has far exceeded my hopes. Yes, it's that good. It's BOOK HANGOVER good and I NEVER (like ever) say that. Read it yourself... tell me what you think...

I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.
