Behind the Bars, the first beautiful and emotional standalone in the all-new Music Street Series from Brittainy C. Cherry is LIVE!
Behind the Bars by Brittainy C. Cherry
Release Date: December 7th, 2017
Genre: Contemporary Romance
When I first met Jasmine Greene, she came in as raindrops.
I was the awkward musician, and she was the high school queen.
The only things we had in common were our music and our loneliness.
Something in her eyes told me her smile wasn’t always the truth.
Something in her voice gave me a hope I always wished to find.
And in a flash, she was gone.
Years later, she was standing in front of me on a street in New Orleans.
She was different, but so was I. Life made us colder. Harder. Isolated.
Caged.
Even though we were different, the broken pieces of me recognized the sadness in her.
Now she was back, and I wouldn’t make the mistake of letting her go again.
When I first met Jasmine Greene, she came in as raindrops.
When we met again, she was the darkest storm.

Brittainy C. Cherry is my
female version of Nicholas Sparks. I read her (and him for that matter) whenever
I need a book that touches my heart. This was a story so full of beauty. Cherry’s
words will resonate in your heart. Cherry’s writing is complete perfection. Her
characters are original and well-thought out. This is an author I read no
matter what the synopsis says. She could write about a teddy bear and I know it
would touch me in some special place I didn’t know I had. That’s just what she
does.
What makes Behind the Bars so special is that it makes
you think of your own life. It makes you reevaluate where you are out and how
you are living. This is a book that will make your heart bleed; yet, Cherry is
so gifted in her writing that you will laugh right when you need to. So there
is more to this story that just heart, there is drama, pain, sorrow (always),
being vulnerable and living with it, sex and love, friendship, and of course,
love, so much love!
I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I will leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.
