LOVE this cover!! I love the darkness of the colors but I also love the
brightness of the title on the cover. It makes it pop right off the cover and
looks gorgeous with the dark images and background. I seriously have a thing
for covers especially when they aren’t just half naked males on the front… totally
copout in my opinion!

LOVED the idea of Spiked Roses! Or it could just be the name “Spiked Roses” I
mean, how kick ass is that name?!?! So Spiked Roses is an exclusive gentlemen's
club based in New Orleans. They cater to the very rich and the notoriously rich.
“No” is not a word that is heard in this club. If you’ve got the money and you’re
in the “Club” well… the sky’s the limit baby… well, if you’re a man, that is! Kenneth
Saxon is one of the owners as well as a very well-known and successful lawyer.
Anita
is a 21year old living in the middle of nowhere Nevada. Her life is empty with
no one in it except one person, her employer Virgie Patterson. Anita and Virgie
are great friends, even with the age difference. She’s like the complete
opposite for Kenneth! Her life is so boring! Finally Virgie shakes it up! Kenneth
totally turns Anita’s life on its axis! They are so hot together! The sexual
tension between them is so thick you could wade through it!
I’ve
really enjoyed all of Alta’s books. I feel like this one could have been a
duet. It just felt so rushed. I really feel like there was a…. ummm situation
that needed more time to be worked out. So I’m really leaning more towards a
3.5 Star rating. I really liked this book; it was more the ending for me that I
struggled with.
