RELEASE DAY: Something So Irresistible by

Max Horton

They call me an outcast like it's a bad thing.

An asshole byproduct of a shitty upbringing. I don't care about anything except myself and my little sister.

I will always protect what’s mine.

With one year left on my hockey contract I'm keeping my head down and my eyes on the goal.

A collision, with her, changes my entire existence.

Allison Grant

Never fall in love with a sports star. That's what my stepfather always said. He told me athletes are complicated and moody—that the higher their paycheck, the lower their morals.

As public relations for the New York Stingers I know exactly what he means, but I can’t seem to say no to a friendship with one beautiful, damaged man.

What started out as hate turned into something else.

We tried to stay away, to keep our distance, but the pull was too strong.

Something forbidden turned into something so irresistible.

When her nose isn't buried in a book, or her fingers flying across a keyboard writing, she's in the kitchen creating gourmet meals. You can find her, in four inch heels no less, in the car chauffeuring kids, or possibly with her husband scheduling his business trips. It's a good thing her characters do what she says, because even her Labrador doesn't listen to her...

Natasha Madison gets better with every book! I love a good enemies to lovers type book and this was perfection! Max and Allison don’t like each other that much and it’s been in the making since the previous two books. So yeah, while this would work as a standalone, I think you’ll find this book is so much better if you read the first two in the series. You just get more of the background and you can’t help but form bonds and opinions on the group!

Madison has really developed a wonderful writing style. I love her books and how real they feel. One of the best things about Something so Irresistible is that Allison is completely justified in her feelings and they aren’t just pushed away for a good tussle in the bed! Max and Allison talk (GASP) they don’t just sex their problems away and *POOF* all fixed. The problems linger and time helps, as does the communication. I love that the most in this book. There’s no hiding or lying.

Working with each other turns out to be difficult with a searing attraction. Somehow Max and Allison find themselves in a budding friendship. From their lovely new friendship, something else… something more… flourished. Madison really developed a beautiful story and showed a gorgeous process of finding the person for you. Thankfully, we had some comic relief tossed in and about too! It was the perfect combination of humor and romance.

I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I will leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.
