REDEMPTION ISLAND REVIEW:
Now this is a unique read! LB Dunbar transports us to an island where today’s technology and issues are left at the edge of the island. This is a beautiful story about forgiveness and love. This is a story you that will pull at you and completely entrance you.

I found Tack to be…. interesting. He committed this crime and instead of being punished, like most of us would be, he was sent off to an island for a social experiment. Sent off alone, in solitary confinement for a year, would give him time to reflect upon himself and his crime. Juliet, well, I don’t want to go into her side. However, these two are suppose to be here alone to atone for their crimes.

This starts out as a tough read but soon, it turns. Dunbar shows us how one night… one choice… one real instant can change your life forever. Can you forgive and grow? Do you hold on to your past, to your pain… or do you let go and grow. Who are you? Love and hate are so very closely related… can you tell the difference?

I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.

About the Author

Avid drinker of Coca-Cola, L.B. Dunbar loves the sweet things in life. Her affair with all things romantic began with her first book at the tender age of six: Goldilocks and the Three Bears. One can never forget her first! From there, the reading journey includes a deep love of fairy tales, medieval knights, regency debauchery, and alpha males. She loves a deep belly laugh and a strong hug. Occasionally, she has the energy of a Jack Russell terrier. Accused, yes, that’s the correct word, of having an over active imagination; to her benefit, such an imagination works well. Author of over a dozen novels, she’s created small town worlds, rock star mayhem, and MMA chaos. Her other duties in life include: mother to four growing children and wife to the one and only.

RETURN TO THE ISLAND REVIEW:
So here we are, 22 months post-Redemption Island… Tack and Juliet flourished in the Island… now; can they survive the real world where technology and people are everywhere? It’s easier to living in solidarity, blissfully unaware of the outside world. Can’t they just go back to the island and be together without the world closing in on them… without the questions and the past constantly haunting them.

I was so conflicted with Tack, in my Redemption Island review; I referred to him as interesting. I don’t stray from that analysis in this review either… I struggled with liking him a bit. I almost felt like he was just after Juliet to get his rocks off but after reading Redemption Island, I know that isn’t the case. So yeah, I was conflicted with him. Juliet though, I really loved her in this book. She really grew into herself, maybe found herself a bit.

Abby was really not needed for me. I feel like she was an extra conflict added that was not needed. I was good with the main plot. I NEED to add that this was my first LB Dunbar book and there were parts in this story that I seriously FELT I LIVED! That is a fantastic writing IMO. Dunbar can take you there… that is an amazing talent! This story was great!! The ending… perfection! But that epilogue… I could have lived in that epilogue! Dunbar’s story-telling is above par. I’m going to be watching for this author in the future! She has another fan!

I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.
