Goodness… Letters to Molly was pretty brutal on my heart! I
really am lacking on what to say here. I loved this book. Marriage is
incredibly hard. Divorce is incredibly hard. Finn and Molly are divorced. Finn
is Poppy’s brother, Poppy is from Birthday List, book 1 in the Maysen Jar
series. Molly and Poppy are best friends. I love them. I love all the
characters. My heart went through a complete up and down roller coaster ride.
There’s really no other way to say what this story put my heart through. I know
I’m being crazy vague but I don’t think there is a way to tell you about the
storyline without telling you too much so I’m only going to tell you that I
love it! There wasn’t a single word written that didn’t touch some part of my
heart.
Devney Perry is a master. She can cut right through the heart of the story and make you cry. That’s right, like most of Miss Perry’s books; I had tears streaming down my face… while I was working. See what happens when you open a Perry book? You can’t put it down, even while working… shhhh do not tell the boss lady!! Devney Perry’s books are so relatable, so normal-feeling, that they seem like real, solid people. These are people that make mistakes. People that love, love wildly.
I was super lucky and received an advanced copy of the audiobook. The narrators Teddy Hamilton and Jillian Macie were fantastic in narrating this book. Let me tell you all… these narrators were really able to inflict so much emotion into their voices. The heart and soul of Devney Perry’s words were brought to life by these two narrators. Their narration was heartfelt and full of life! One of the best audiobooks yet!
