REVIEW: Glimmers of You by Catherine Cowles

πŸ’™ GLIMMERS OF YOU IS LIVE πŸ’™

Fall for Grae and Caden in their fake dating, brother’s best friend, small town romance from USA Today Bestselling Author, Catherine Cowles!

He hadn’t always just been my brother’s best friend. There was a time when he was mine, too. Until he disappeared from our small town when I needed him the most.

Now, Caden’s back. With his cocky smirk and infuriating nicknames. And I’m struggling to ignore his presence.

When my ex refuses to leave me alone, Caden steps in, suggesting that it will get my ex and Caden’s calculating father off both our backs if we just pretend to be madly in love.

There’s just one problem… Nothing I feel for Caden Shaw is fake—even when I thought I hated him. And there’s no denying how the touch of his lips sparks a flame I’ll never be able to extinguish.

As those pretend moments start to turn oh so real, someone’s watching. They’re not happy about Caden’s new role in my life. And they’ll do anything to rip me away from him—even burn us all to the ground…

***** AUDIOBOOK REVIEW *****

Catherine Cowles is such a top-notch author! I seriously wait as patiently (ie not patient at all) as I can and then DEVOUR the entire story, generally in a day. That was exactly what happened with Glimmers of You. I could not get enough of Caden and Grae. This might start out as a fake relationship but nothing about it stays fake! These two are meant to be. I really enjoyed the suspense/thriller aspect of this story. Someone is not happy with Grae and Caden being together. When dangerous things start to happen, Caden and Grae just seem to get closer. This only angers our “bad guy”.

Cowles has such a way of pulling me in. It really starts with the way she creates her characters. I really feel like I get to know them. I root for them just like I would my friends. I love diving into interconnected series and really getting to know all the people in the town. I start to really care what happens to all the friends and the family. This is no different with Cedar Ridge… I could definitely see this series as an amazing Netflix show/movie. How amazing would that be?!?! The narration by Joe Arden and Erin Mallon was seriously amazing! They sound like real people and I just FELT the characters in them. Does that even make sense? I’m eagerly awaiting the next book in the series… who wants some of Aspen and Roan?!?!
