Amelia also has a troubled past and has sworn off men, especially men like Asher. But ever so slowly they grow as people and eventually they find each other. Madison doesn’t make it easy. She’s brutal. Both characters struggle with their past and how it made them into who they are today. Can they learn to trust in themselves and in each other?
