RELEASE DAY: The Bluff by Willa Nash

The Bluff by Willa Nash is now live!

As Calamity's newest resident, Everly Christian thought life in small-town Montana would be dull and tame--and she needs a little mundane after the last few chaotic years. But one night, boredom drives her to the local bar, where she finds herself sitting beside a handsome and mysterious artist.
The man is anything but dull and tame, especially in the bedroom, and when she steps out of his shower and overhears his conversation, life gets interesting again.

Reese Huxley needs a wife.

And why shouldn't Everly be the bride?

She's got her reasons for agreeing to the hasty nuptials--reasons she's keeping to herself. As long as she can stop herself from falling in love with her husband, she'll make it out of this sham marriage in one piece. But Everly has a weakness for wayward men, and the more Hux pushes her away, the more she realizes this bluff is anything but a lie.

I was beyond eager to read The Bluff. I mean, if you read that ending in The Bribe then you know the ending had a HUGE announcement. I was so ready to hear about the marriage I didn't see coming! I've never been big into marriage of convenience romances but I'm big into Devney Perry (i.e. Willa Nash) and I'd read her grocery list and probably still rate it 5-stars. I'm not sure how her skills are so legit.

On the outside Huxley does not look like the man anyone would marry on a whim. Not to say he isn't handsome, Everly was sure enraptured with him. Hux was grumpy though. He has this scowl that was etched on his face pretty permanently, except when his daughter was nearby. He had a soft spot for his baby girl. Everly is one of the strongest heroines but she's also so vulnerable. She wears her heart on her sleeve and seems to just accept what people give her. She yearns for someone to put her first, she yearns for that explicit trust, that undying love.

I adored these two and watching them navigate life together without barely knowing each other. Their purpose for this marriage of convenience is one of the things trying to pull them apart. It isn't the only thing pulling at their loose seams and Huxley seems to be slowly unraveling while Everly is just trying to hold onto what they've constructed.

I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.
