REVIEW TOUR: Stay by Tia Louise

STAY by Tia Louise

COMING JUNE 11

Stephen Hastings is a control freak.

He’s arrogant. He’s smart as a whip and sexy AF.

He has too much money. He’s bossy, and he’s usually right.

All I saw were his clear blue eyes, tight ass, and ripped torso.

I gladly handed him my V-card that night, ten years ago.

I was so stupid. I swore I’d never be that stupid again…
Emmy Barton works for a dry cleaner?

Yes, that Emmy Barton—long, blonde hair, bright blue eyes, pretty smile…

Sexy little ass. Smart mouth.

She was the only girl who interested me, but I was leaving to be an officer in the Navy.
Now I’m home, running my business. My life is perfectly ordered until I bump into her, divorced and struggling to make ends meet.

I hate seeing her like this. I hate that she married Burt “The Dick” Dickerson.
What an asshole.
She says she hates me, but when we fight, it’s all heat and lust.

I won’t leave her this way.

She will let me help her and her son. She will stay…

It’s a thin line between love and hate, and this line is on fire.
(STAY is a STAND-ALONE enemies-to-lovers, second-chance, marriage of convenience romance. No cheating. No cliffhangers.)

Can I just ask how men can be so oblivious to taking a woman’s virginity? I mean, there is blood (generally, not always, I’ll give you that) and a pretty noticeable physical discomfort. I don’t get how a man can have this happen and not know. It seems to be a thing lately… I’ve read it at least twice lately in two different books. Really this could be just me and an issue I have… I can’t see how a woman/girl would ever give their v-card to a person they don’t trust with the knowledge of their v-card. I don’t know… It’s a storyline I don’t understand and it, apparently, bugs me.

With all that nonsense aside, I thought Stephen was a fabulous character. I found his irony to be quite hilarious. He tossed Emmy so easily to the side all those years ago. No thoughts or knowledge wiser… just off he went to the Navy. Then, he seems Emmy again and instantly wants her. He was all about her. He could not get enough of her. Tia Louise brought her A-game out to the storyline…. the enemies-t0-lovers was definitely on Emmy’s side more than Stephen. Stephen, however, is totally down with the marriage of convenience… anything to get him in Emmy’s good graces!

Tia Louise brings such a natural story to some fantastic characters. Just like I’ve come to expect from Miss Louise. She pulls out all the emotional stops and packs it all into a fun and sweet story. It’s an upbeat story with oodles of sexual tension that oozed right off the pages. The attraction between Emmy and Stephen was visceral… it was alive. Louise created this fun and palpable tension that I just couldn’t get enough of.

I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.
