REVIEW TOUR: PAPER DREAMS by KJ Lewis

PAPER DREAMS by KJ Lewis
Release Day: May 1st

You know how you read a book and completely fall for the author, his/her writing and everything about said book? So you proceed to stalk said author and are tickled to find a few more books in her library. So you devour them, then you have to wait for books to release. When you really dig an author and they make you wait MONTHS, perhaps a year, for more books to be released. It’s hard to wait. I really just wanted to live in Paper Dreams… in the words written by KJ Lewis. So of course I read it in a frenzy and now the waiting for another book has begun! Lol

Miss Lewis’s writing will grab you by the heart and imagination and won’t let go! Paper Dreams is truly an emotional story. Nixon and Natalie are ON FIRE! Miss Lewis put so much emotion and heart into this story. This is a love story that is sweet and full… the secondary characters were fabulous! And that plot! Can you even imagine? Gahh! You all NEED to read this book, like, now!!

I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.

Time is not my friend. With every tick of the clock, my options wane. Winning a lunch meeting with the CEO was supposed to be the answer to all of my problems. After all, Nixon Ballard is known for taking a bit of money and turning it into a lot. But his easy dismissal of my financial struggle took what I hoped would be a quick solution and turned it into my only option. An option to provide for those who matter most. An option that lays everything on the line. This was meant to be a sacrifice, but quickly became the escape I really need.

The old adage is true... time is money. Which makes it one of my most precious commodities. Starting my company ten years ago, I quickly understood that success is garnered from milking every moment of the one thousand four hundred and forty minutes each day has to offer. Every meeting, conference call, and agenda item is carefully orchestrated like an elaborate meal. Each course perfectly timed and curated, building to the grand dessert- my weekly scheduled evening with a hired beauty.
Ninety minutes with no expectations, other than mutual pleasure.
Ninety minutes where no one knows who I am.
Today was meant to be the same. Until it wasn’t.
Until Natalie.

Excerpt
I leave Howard with another regular to argue over who is the best shortstop in the National League and make a quick stop by the hotel room where I will meet Mandy later. I pull a black silk eye mask from the dresser and place it in the middle of the bed with a note written on the hotel stationery: “I want you in nothing but this, in the center of the bed, hands inside the cuffs, legs spread.”

My dick stirs as I clip the fur-lined handcuffs to the headboard. It’s always on board, but I find that, tonight, so am I. My usual M.O. is fuck and leave, but I’m hoping that a little extra time with Mandy and her delectable pussy kicks me out of this lackadaisical funk.

I call for dinner to be sent up while I shower. I practically swallow the steak in two pieces in my haste to get the evening started. I can’t believe I’m running late. Me! I’m as fastidious with my personal time as I am with my work time, so running late has me a bit off kilter. I don’t wait for the elevator, opting, instead for a nearby stairwell. I enter the suite, shoving the key card into the back pocket of my jeans. I open my mouth to apologize to Mandy for the wait when my feet stop dead in their tracks, because there, spread out on my bed, is Natalie.
