A way to sate my sexual appetite.

I let her glimpse the man I am. The face that I hide behind my carefully cultivated life.

But she ripped open that divide--and there's no going back.

Now, she's here. In my city.

******** AUDIOBOOK REVIEW ********

Seriously K.A. Linde has a way of creating completely captivating storylines that I can’t look away from. Cruel Money has the feel of Cruel Intentions meets Clueless. Two of my very favorite 90s movies. Cruel Money shows us what it’s like for the rich and beautiful. And what happens when one of “the help” mingles with them and sets the Crew on its axis. This is a story filled with drama, pettiness and backstabbing that comes from young insecure rich people.

The characters are either likable or extremely dislikable. Penn is confident and self assured but once he meets and connects with Natalie, his life starts to change. He starts to see life differently. Oh Natalie, sweet Natalie with insecurities so deep. I screamed at her so many times that her self worth is not wrapped up the balance in her checking account or how big her closet it. She was so better than the people around her.

I know how I want this story to go. I doubt it’s going to go how I want. There are definitely people in this book that is worthy of Natalie and some that are not. I was so thrilled with the ending and wanted to high five Natalie for confronting her problems and not running. Now I’m dying as patiently as I can for Cruel Fortune. I want more of Lucas. More of Penn. More of Natalie. Some of the crew but not all of them. I can’t wait to see what Miss Linde does next with this series. I’m in it now!

I was able to listen to an early audio version of Cruel Money. Hearing these people was great! It felt like a theater production happen right in my ears! Virginia Rose played Natalie perfectly! You get how naive she really is. You feel her hesitance and insecurities right there in her voice. Rose is able to show all the feelings perfectly for Natalie, even her weaknesses, when I do wanted her to be stronger and not run from her problems. Stephen Dexter was an amazing Penn. he sounds cool and confident. But you can hear him changing over his time with Natalie. Fantastic narration choices! I’m looking forward to the next book.

I received an early audiobook of Cruel Money with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.
