If madness has a name...it's hers.
She is an artist seeking solace.
He is a serial killer seeking vengeance.
She doesn't remember.
He remembers it all.
She is broken.
He is obsessed.
She wants truth.
He wants revenge.
One of them is guilty.
One of them is innocent.
Both of them want to win.
And for that one of them has to die.

As always, I am always excited to see an upcoming V.F. Mason story. She writes such dark stories that feel very sinister and incredibly mysterious. I had a feeling of being left in the dark through most of this story. I love the Shakespearean quotes at all the beginning of chapters. It all felt like a Shakespearean story… packed with tragedy and betrayal. I was really surprised though that this one wasn’t as dark as the other books in the series, especially where the blurb talks about a “serial killer seeking vengeance” it’s interesting to me… and while I say this, it was dark but not the darkest of the other books.

I was completely tickled with the way Mason wrote this story. I really appreciated the way she tells the story… in dual narratives all with flashbacks from then to now and now to then. It seems to slowly put everything together but very slowly so that you get super confused until it all makes sense. Then… BOOM… Mason does her metaphorical pencil drop and I was left SHOCKED! Like way surprised! I feel like I should mention that there is some trigger possibilities in Micaden's Madness. I’m not going to say who but there are some rape triggers here so tread carefully if you have problems with that.

I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.

About the Author:
V.F.Mason always loved reading books and had quite a few fights with her momma over the genre she liked (romance, duh!) She studied filmmaking and thought that would feed her desire for stories, but that didn’t happen. Finally, when she was tired of all those voices in her head, she sat down and wrote a book. It was a huge decision to make and she thanks her friends and family for supporting her in it. When she is not writing, she can be found with her friends doing all sorts of crazy things or reading recent romance books that were written by her favorite authors.
